Jeezy: Hello, world, and welcome to the part in the politics podcast season one episode 12. I am your co-host, jeezy along with my partner in politics. Manny Manny, what's good.
10
Manny: What's going on. Y'all glad to be back.
11
Jeezy: Yeah, man, the pie was on a little bit of a vacation due to the Thanksgiving holidays, so you know, we had to take a little break. But we had been going strong for you guys with 11 episodes and a live coverage of the election, so we thought it was appropriate for the boys to just take a little break so hopefully, hopefully, you still love us. You're still tuned in. You're still with us and tuning in for another great episode.
12
Manny: Yeah, no. Definitely definitely excited to be back. I mean, a lot happened.
13
Manny: Man, man, a lot happened.
14
Jeezy: We say it every week. Man.
15
Manny: And you know what, and I said it at some point in the the previous episode that I dare not even try to come up with, or plan or think through what the the previous episode was going to be. So we're not out here on the pod making y'all promises for stuff that we know we're not going to do, and I'm glad I did that.
16
Manny: because I didn't see most of this coming.
17
Jeezy: Man. Listen, as always, as we have said, in countless episodes, that here, with the politics and the content, the gift just keeps on giving man. There's always something. So
18
Jeezy: we definitely have quite a bit in store for this episode. But before we begin, just want to again, thank the listeners, I hope your holiday was well. Hope that you enjoyed your family time, and if you didn't just hope that you found some bit of joy or peace during the holiday season.
19
Jeezy: And going into the end of 2024. It's crazy. That man. The year just seems to just go by so fast. I was telling somebody that, you know, when we were kids. It seemed like it took forever to get the Christmas break. But now the year.
20
Manny: Here and gone.
21
Jeezy: Man. It's just everything just moves so fast. So we are grateful and thankful for all of our listeners here, partner, politics. Podcast, so with that being said. Our 1st topic on the docket today is
22
Jeezy: Pod save America.
23
Jeezy: It was a couple of weeks ago that an episode of Pod save America had on the cat. Well, I say the cats! But the big dogs of the.
24
Manny: No, you can go ahead and say, it's all a TV show now. So the cast.
25
Jeezy: It's a sitcom at this point, but had some of the major big dogs in the Harris Waltz campaign on it, and you had the campaigning chair, the senior advisor, the deputy campaign management of paid advertising and strategy, and the senior advisor to strategic messaging. And they were on this episode of pod save America, basically talking about
26
Jeezy: what went wrong.
27
Jeezy: First, st before I say anything else.
28
Jeezy: It felt like it was way too soon.
29
Manny: I'm sorry.
30
Jeezy: It felt way too soon. I was not ready to have this conversation or to hear it. I felt like it was very, very premature. Let us let us, you know. Let us get out of the cycle first, st like, let's let's get past. Maybe the inauguration, and then let's have this conversation. But here they were on the episode, having this conversation, so were you able to catch any of that many.
31
Manny: I I was, I was. I'll go the counterpoint. I
32
Manny: I I'm glad it came out when it did. I actually think they gave just the right amount of time of.
33
Manny: Because if you're the dems you, you ain't got time to figure this out. You got midterms in 2 years that you need to
34
Manny: about right now, if you hadn't already starting to think about so that whole retro on what went wrong in that campaign, you have time to waste. So let's go ahead and
35
Manny: and have this conversation about how y'all did not do well in in most capacities.
36
Jeezy: Yeah. Yeah. And I think that
37
Jeezy: to your point, while I can't agree that you know it felt too early for me. I do agree with the the statement that you know the Democratic party is on fire.
38
Jeezy: and there isn't a lot of wiggle room nor time to figure out what went wrong
39
Jeezy: or how it went wrong. You know, we we need to start putting some action in, because, as we know, 2026 will be here before you know it.
40
Manny: We're going to blink, and it's going to be here.
41
Jeezy: It's yeah. It's gonna be here, man.
42
Jeezy: Now I will say that I felt
43
Jeezy: it was too soon, only because, you know, you know I love Big Mala.
44
Manny: I love Erunty. I love
45
Manny: and like I think you're also going through this whole thing with a whole different lens with me very closely today.
46
Jeezy: Yeah.
47
Manny: And for for everyone to listen on the pod. Jeez has the the pleasure, or maybe the displeasure, depending on where you sit of getting my takes through the day. As things happen.
48
Jeezy: Oh, yeah.
49
Manny: So, you know that's an adjustment period going from, I will say, casual observer, because, you know you were, you were. You were fairly deep in this, but now it's like a whole nother level where.
50
Jeezy: Whole, another level.
51
Manny: Where you're like now, seeing how I'm breaking down these things, and how we really dig into it. So.
52
Jeezy: Hmm.
53
Manny: It's an adjustment man. And I think that's also a reminder for our listen listeners like this is a lot. Politics is a lot in general. So like, there is nothing wrong for stepping away and saying, You know what? I'm not going to pay attention to this for a little bit. And that's okay. Yeah, that's okay. You know, this
54
Manny: don't lose your sanity.
55
Manny: Don't lose your sanity.
56
Manny: They're the bigger things at play.
57
Jeezy: Well, and and that's an awesome point. And I was grateful for that that bit of encouragement and detail that you you gave me, because it is a different game jumping from a casual observer of politics to now, hey, you're the co-host of a
58
Jeezy: a very well laid out, and I would say, quite polished. Podcast so you have to be. You have to be within the know. But I will say that when I listened to this episode 20 min in that sorrow, quickly turned.
59
Manny: Yay!
60
Jeezy: That sorrow quickly turned into anger.
61
Manny: Tell them why you may, Jeez tell them why you met.
62
Jeezy: But I'ma tell you I'ma tell her why I'm mad, brother.
63
Jeezy: All I heard, in my opinion, was nothing but excuses, and.
64
Manny: Other excuses.
65
Jeezy: For for shout out to our dear brothers in Alpha phi alpha fraternity incorporated. But excuses are tools of the incompetence that build monuments for nothingness. Those who excel at them seldomly succeed in anything else, and I see why they seldomly did not succeed in anything else.
66
Jeezy: There were so many excuses manny like
67
Jeezy: Oh, my God! It was insane!
68
Jeezy: Like.
69
Manny: And and then on top of that like.
70
Manny: because I concur with that 10,000%
71
Manny: and all excuses, but no accountability like.
72
Jeezy: No accountability.
73
Manny: At some point. You just have to look at the situation, no matter what odds were against you. You got to look at a situation and say, you know what? I dropped the egg.
74
Jeezy: Yeah, it was me.
75
Manny: I had all these, you know. I had all the groceries in my hand. I was slipping. I was trying not to drop the baby.
76
Manny: but I dropped the egg like, and I didn't hear that.
77
Jeezy: 9 9.
78
Jeezy: You know it it when you listen to them talk.
79
Jeezy: And I remember saying this before in our in our chat.
80
Jeezy: you know I referenced to Colorado. Buff shout out to Coach Prime.
81
Jeezy: but if you look at the players on Coach Prime's team on their jersey, some of them have a L, and some of them have a D, the ones that have the L are leaders, you know. They're good guys. They show up. They do the. You know they do the work, but then you have the dogs, and those dogs are the ones that you know are going to get out there. They're going to not just do the job. They're going to attack the job they're going to do. I mean, they are dogs.
82
Jeezy: Mala didn't have any dogs on this, on this team?
83
Jeezy: None. There were no dogs.
84
Manny: At least none of those dogs were on that podcast.
85
Manny: talking about where it went wrong.
86
Jeezy: You know, I just was. I just was shocked, man, because it's like even down to. I believe it was the senior advisor was talking, he was saying, like, you know, you. And you have detailed this on the podcast. Where you're like, you know, in this time frame, you know it's not. It's not normal, you know. Most candidates, you know, they have X amount of time to, you know. Do this and do that and do this. And I think, the senior advisor was saying, that you know most candidates have about 6 months to work on their bio
87
Jeezy: right for really the American people to get to know them. And throughout those 6 months they're adding and building and stacking amongst that bio.
88
Jeezy: But he was like. But you know, Kamala Kamala only had 2 months. And in my mind I'm hearing him say this. And I'm like, so what what are you going to do? You gonna cry about it, or you gonna do take those 2 months. And do I mean, go crazy? Do everything you need to do.
89
Jeezy: you know.
90
Manny: This team was given.
91
Manny: while they, while everyone will phrase it as a a challenge and yes, to run a presidential campaign in a hundred 7 days is absolutely 1,000%. A challenge.
92
Manny: It was an opportunity like it was really an opportunity to really try to do something different.
93
Manny: And they didn't.
94
Jeezy: They didn't.
95
Manny: They didn't. They tried to slam a conventional campaign into 107 days against an unconventional candidate that they won against by accident
96
Manny: like, let's let's be clear. They that Joe biden beat Donald trump by accident, because, had it is my belief.
97
Manny: Covid had not happened.
98
Manny: It's going to be real hard for Joe to Joe to knock off trump.
99
Jeezy: Yeah.
100
Manny: That that is just the raw reality of the situation. And they just they weren't creative. They really just tried to slam a conventional campaign into a box, and
101
Manny: it it's rough to see it's rough to see. But the the other question that I had that was floating around all of this is some of the things that they were complaining about
102
Manny: from my standpoint are infrastructural issues.
103
Jeezy: So now my question turns to.
104
Manny: Dnc. Were you not getting ready for Joe to run white?
105
Manny: Let's be clear. We've known that Donald Trump was running for President since the day after election day in 2020
106
Manny: like. So you knew who the opponent was.
107
Manny: y'all had no infrastructure, because the way they made it sound is that the Dnc. Was virtually no help, and all they were the Dnc. Was being used for is help to run and funnel money.
108
Manny: to which okay, great. But if you didn't have this infrastructure already in place, let's say Biden hadn't stepped out.
109
Manny: Y'all were going to be in the same position.
110
Manny: So it's real interesting to hear them kind of say the things that they did.
111
Jeezy: I completely agree, and it brings to mind to me the old saying that you know it seemed as though the Dnc. Had all hands and no calluses. Nobody was.
112
Manny: T.
113
Jeezy: Nobody. Nobody seemed to even have a plan of what
114
Jeezy: you know what was going to be the the objective going forward. And I think we've said it before in a previous episode. I really, I mean, it really just confirms that
115
Jeezy: the the Democrats thought that all of these indictments and Trump's legal issues were just going to put him away like that. I'm I'm completely convinced at this point, because
116
Jeezy: there's no way that you tell me that you absolutely don't have a plan for somebody unless you don't expect that person to be around. So to have said plan for.
117
Manny: Right.
118
Jeezy: And you know, you know you've heard Aoc and others come out and criticize the direction of the party, and you know what things need to be done.
119
Jeezy: They they have a lot of work, and I think that they really need to take a Michael Jackson moment and look at the man in the mirror
120
Jeezy: and realize they need to realize really quick what like
121
Jeezy: this ain't a game like this. This ain't this? This ain't a walk in the Park, are we? And I think that I've as a Democrat. That's 1 thing that I have been very critical about the Democratic party is that
122
Jeezy: we don't have. We don't have dog moments. One thing I love about the Republicans is that when they see blood boy, they going, whether they right, whether they right whether they're wrong when they smell blood. It's over.
123
Manny: They locked in.
124
Jeezy: And we want to play this man. We want to be a Democratic party of me is like the grinch
125
Jeezy: when you, when he looked down off that mountaintop, and he saw it. After all, the children and all the people in Whoville had their roast beast and their gifts, and everything took, and they were still standing around, holding hands.
126
Manny: Yeah.
127
Jeezy: Like, what do y'all have like? What are y'all happy for? Let's get. Let's get angry. Let's do something. Let's get some dog in us and go out here, and if this is what we want, let's attack it. Not all this, you know. Instead of attacking your enemy, you buying flowers and inviting to dinner type mentality. I can't stand it, man.
128
Manny: I think the 1st question that Dems will have to ask themselves is, what are they selling to the American people?
129
Manny: Because if you and I, I would hope they're sitting back and having some of these conversations right now.
130
Manny: if you, if you really just look at all of their campaigns largely.
131
Manny: It's become a well, we're not them. So you should vote for us.
132
Jeezy: Like you're.
133
Manny: Yeah, you, you know our plan is not their plan. A. That's lazy. That's lazy. That.
134
Jeezy: And lazy.
135
Manny: You know, and that means you're not doing the mental gymnastics that you have to to really try to creatively think that. Think of ways to solve the problems.
136
Manny: And one of my close friends. He told me this when Trump won in 2016 he was like
137
Manny: Hillary was a smooth ride in a car in a direction
138
Manny: that the country didn't want to go down.
139
Jeezy: Yeah.
140
Manny: Where Donald was going to be a bumpy ride.
141
Jeezy: -
142
Manny: We? And again this goes back to 2016. It was going to be a bumpy ride. We didn't know where it was going to go, but we knew it wasn't going to be in that direction, and we needed some. He he's come out there, trump, and the Republicans have come out with a plan of something. Now now we'll we'll take the swings that you know. Well, what are you going to do on health care? Cool damns! What are y'all going to do on health care?
143
Jeezy: Cool.
144
Manny: Like it. And they they've just struggled with that, with that selling of the message. And as I listened to the pod, the pod, and them speaking for me. What I kept hearing is
145
Manny: them saying, it's not our fault that
146
Manny: the American electorate wasn't smart enough to vote for us.
147
Manny: That's what I felt like. I kept hearing over and over and over again. And it's sad. It's sad like a that you guys are in positions this high, but it also shows a tone of the the Democratic party. When you look at ultimately the the demographics of how how everything is coming out. If we look at the reality of the Democratic party right now. It is a party for African Americans
148
Manny: and people that make over a hundred $1,000,
149
Manny: you know, and and you kind of see that, and how they speak about the middle middle class, not necessarily middle class, but how they speak about. You know, blue collar workers.
150
Jeezy: Yeah.
151
Jeezy: it's like, Oh, well, why don't we get you out of doing this job with your hands and get you into office job? I work at office job. Our times. Our time's great.
152
Jeezy: excellent.
153
Manny: Times, absolutely when it's a hundred degrees outside. Am I glad I have an office job? Yeah. But
154
Manny: there's more than one way for people to find success in this country, and I think we have to remember that. And people need to remember that as politicians is that these there there's many paths to success in America. And that's what that's part of the beauty of America is that if you're focused and you drill on you drill on to do something with your best intentions, and try to do the best you can that you can find success. We need to find that America again.
155
Jeezy: Yeah, I completely agree. And, Manny, that's an excellent point that you make, because you know, where is the
156
Jeezy: level of belonging within the Democratic party for someone that is not
157
Jeezy: $100,000 or African American, you know. Maybe you know you're telling me. Oh, we can make a better America, or a better life for you by transitioning here. But hey, what about the fact that I'm a generational farmer?
158
Jeezy: You know my granddaddy did this, and my daddy did this, and now I do it. I mean, there's a guy that you know that I know that I've recently met over the past couple of years.
159
Jeezy: You know. He's a young guy just like me, but he's a he's a farmer, and he loves it, doesn't want to do anything else, because to him. That's his sense of belonging, because that's his tradition. That's his heritage, you know. Where does he belong? Within the Democratic party, you know. Where is it in their messaging. That shows them that. Hey? We care about you too.
160
Manny: Hello!
161
Jeezy: And and that's not there.
162
Jeezy: Right? Elections are about building coalitions.
163
Manny: So
164
Manny: how do I get all of these people from different walks of life to unify behind me? And that's what Trump was able to do in this election he was able to create the coalitions that it's necessary to destroy and obliterate that blue wall that stood for a while.
165
Jeezy: Yeah.
166
Manny: And it
167
Manny: that now I won't say everybody on the the Harris campaign didn't do their job. There is one person who, I do believe
168
Manny: very much so, and that's the person who did the fundraising cause. You know what.
169
Jeezy: Hey!
170
Manny: Raising over a billion dollars in a hundred 7 days. That person has a job on whatever campaign they want for the rest of their lives.
171
Jeezy: Yeah.
172
Manny: Because that.
173
Jeezy: That's the money.
174
Manny: That's a feat now how you still ended up, how the campaign still ended up spending that money losing and still being 20. I think the last numbers that I heard was 20 million in debt like that's wild.
175
Manny: That's wild.
176
Jeezy: Oh, yeah. Bro, I mean.
177
Manny: My name off the list. Man.
178
Jeezy: Yeah.
179
Jeezy: I don't even want to be even associated with it, because how in the world you get one? Because I remember, like Donald trump was pissed. It's like who is giving them all this money. It got to a point, Rudy. Giuliani was like. Look, Harris, I'll give you whatever you need.
180
Manny: I just need. I just need a uber cam poor Rudy in a pickle.
181
Jeezy: And a pickle boy, but that is a lot of money
182
Jeezy: to raise, only to fumble the bag.
183
Jeezy: you know. So you know, this was very telling to me.
184
Jeezy: Just I mean, I kind of felt like you could sense that there was a there was a little bit of droppage. There was some fumble workouts or drills that need to be done to make sure that they kind of didn't let that happen. But ultimately.
185
Jeezy: I think, in my opinion, I felt like it was maybe worse than probably what those outside of the realm of scope within the Democratic party realized just the general registered Republican. I think that. And just like for me.
186
Jeezy: I think that we had to come to a realization that
187
Jeezy: the party's in a in a pickle, and there's some serious adjusting
188
Jeezy: that needs to be done. And I will say, from my perspective, you know, I think sometimes we may have let
189
Jeezy: the Democratic party get away with making these excuses, and not doing the things that were necessary to put them in the party in a position to handle these things a little bit more
190
Jeezy: effectively. But now that we've seen how things have transpired.
191
Jeezy: you know we we need some work done, and you know, hopefully they will take this as a lesson learned because 2026 will be here before you know it, and they better have a plan for 2028.
192
Manny: And then, you know a couple other points that I saw on this that I think are worth calling out like. And geez! You and I were talking about it earlier is like someone needed to have a real hard conversation with Kamala, and that conversation was around her closeness with Biden. And let me tell you how I would have started that conversation.
193
Manny: I'd have sat her down like, Hey, so roar! How are you doing? You know everything going? Well, you know.
194
Jeezy: How's the key?
195
Manny: But how the kids, you know.
196
Manny: So okay, we got all those pleasant trees out the way and then be like that man ain't want you.
197
Jeezy: So.
198
Manny: Joe Biden, Joseph Robinette Biden did not want you as Vice president. You forced his hand
199
Manny: and you made him pick you as the vice President. That is how you got here today.
200
Manny: Cool. We good. Okay. I just wanted to level. Set us here.
201
Jeezy: Yep.
202
Manny: You got to separate yourself from him.
203
Manny: People people view this this current administration as a failure.
204
Manny: and if you are, continue to be in lockstep with this administration. You're going to lose someone needed to have that conversation.
205
Manny: and I don't feel like anyone did.
206
Jeezy: I definitely don't think if they did, they had it way too late, because I think that we saw the least amount of separation. She tried to do was what he basically said that all the.
207
Manny: A roast trash.
208
Jeezy: Were trash. That's the 1st time, I think, but that was like a couple of days before election, and that really.
209
Manny: That's.
210
Jeezy: Separation, but we.
211
Manny: Little too late!
212
Jeezy: On the what was the talk? Show the view, was it.
213
Manny: Yeah.
214
Jeezy: She went on the view, and they asked her, and I mean you could see it was like a struggling point for her.
215
Jeezy: And you know, so obviously that conversation wasn't had. But I'm gonna be honest with you, Manny, I mean, just from a general sense of I'm not a Polish politician. Nor have I been in that arena. I know, just from a common sense perspective.
216
Jeezy: where people view somebody and what that association does for me.
217
Jeezy: And if I'm trying to go right, and everybody thinks they hate the person that's left, and they associate me with the person that's left, I can't expect to be associated with the left, thinking that I'm going right.
218
Jeezy: that it doesn't work that way. You got to separate yourself, and I'm be honest with you.
219
Jeezy: Joe's already down.
220
Manny: Down bad.
221
Manny: They sound bad.
222
Jeezy: I mean, how much further can Kamala kick him? He's already on all fours. I would have kicked that man.
223
Manny: Down. I want to smushed his.
224
Jeezy: I would have smudged his chin in the mud, and I would have been like, Yeah, America. I don't like him, either.
225
Jeezy: I ain't fooling with him, either. You know what y'all right. Let me tell you what this man been doing. He don't start working to 4 o'clock.
226
Manny: See.
227
Jeezy: He'll work.
228
Manny: It.
229
Jeezy: At the beach every 3rd I'm letting. I'm letting it, boy. They're gonna be by the end of me, finally getting my my rant off.
230
Jeezy: It ain't gonna be about me no more. They gonna be like, you know what? Yeah, we're gonna vote for her. We gonna vote for her because you know what she said, the things she said, exactly what needed to be said.
231
Manny: But there were, there were like ways where she could have got separation. Like I go back to that point. The question on the view. There I was like, hey! Is there anything that you would have done differently?
232
Manny: She could have just not not lied.
233
Manny: She like? Because you go back. You look at the face, and you can see her doing the mental gymnastics tell, oh, yeah, to lie. Let's all be honest to lie.
234
Manny: And but you could have. There's a way that you could have said that like, hey?
235
Manny: With this information we now have.
236
Jeezy: Yeah.
237
Manny: We in hindsight and hindsight's 2020, and I still believe we made the best decisions that we could have at the time with the information we have.
238
Manny: I think I would have tried to look at it like this instead of like XI looked at it like Y, but she didn't even do that. She was just like Nope, that's my dude. And I'm like.
239
Manny: and I just I think that
240
Manny: simple example. I think back to this pod every week after we we record, I think, about man. I should have phrased it like this, or I should have said it like this. I look back at my election when I ran like I should have done this different. I should have done that different
241
Manny: if I can have these thoughts in comparative size like to what's going on, girl. I know you've looked at, know you've looked at this administration and what you've done and be like, yeah, we should have done this differently, or we should have done that differently. And
242
Manny: and again, 107 days whatever. Just go.
243
Jeezy: Let it ride, let it ride.
244
Manny: Pull up like Steph.
245
Manny: Every place you're shooting a 3. If you ain't got a clear lane to the basket, you euro step, and you put it up like.
246
Manny: and they did not do it. And I'm like.
247
Manny: I think, a couple other things that frustrated me in this was.
248
Manny: you could tell. It's conventional wisdom, like, okay. So I'm going to make sure I have time to go on. Meet the press
249
Manny: cool. Let me. Let's be honest about the viewership of meet the press.
250
Manny: They already know who they're voting for.
251
Jeezy: Bigger.
252
Manny: But you know who doesn't know who they're voting for.
253
Manny: The people who watch Joe Rogan's podcast.
254
Jeezy: -
255
Manny: The the people who and she did call your daddy so that's another one. Hot ones, you know. Who else? Who who else listeners, you know, have open minds, and they think about what they're going to do. The listeners of the part in the politics podcast.
256
Jeezy: Yeah.
257
Jeezy: Came here.
258
Manny: Think could have came here.
259
Jeezy: We're in a battleground state right?
260
Jeezy: Right?
261
Manny: But like to to shoot that, to focus on doing a show with 50,000 people instead of kind of changing your methodology to go after someone who has a viewership of 3 million people.
262
Manny: That's that's going to get earned media just because you did it
263
Manny: like, and again salute for her doing the Fox interview. But you could tell. It's a thinking within
264
Manny: the the leadership of that campaign. That just wasn't.
265
Manny: I think. And I'll be honest. I think they were also scared, too, like knowing. You know. It's walking in there feeling like, hey? If you don't win this, the the
266
Manny: everything in the world is going to go bad like, that's a lot of pressure like, I'm not going to mince like, that's not a lot of pressure.
267
Manny: But like you, yeah, they didn't act like they wanted to win.
268
Manny: Hey, man, scare money! Don't make no money.
269
Jeezy: I think they have a lot that they have to again look in the mirror and look in the mirror. Quick. The Democratic party does not have time
270
Jeezy: to.
271
Jeezy: Basically just kind of like metal through the roses. With this they need to have some serious, real, hard conversations
272
Jeezy: and and changes within the infrastructure of the party. If they think that they're going to be able to achieve anything going forward.
273
Manny: And they have to want to win.
274
Manny: Have to like, have to. Man.
275
Manny: Yeah, me, me and Jaez were talking, you know, in the weeks after, you know, Kamalo would have been on the road with us
276
Manny: all day, every day.
277
Manny: from the from the moment the convention was over, every day, if your strategy was the big 7 States cool. We were in the big.
278
Manny: Every day. Hey, plane! Drop us off in Wilmington, pick us up in Charlotte.
279
Jeezy: Yep, it we were.
280
Jeezy: Tim. Tim got a different schedule. Doug got a different schedule. You lead a big dog with this.
281
Manny: All day, Kamala.
282
Manny: you either sleep when we're on this bus, and you don't have an interview to do or don't have people that you're boy. We I'd had Kamala just randomly popping into people's live twitch streams.
283
Jeezy: Yep.
284
Manny: Hey!
285
Jeezy: Boys would have boys. Part of the politics would have got across that finish line. No doubt about it.
286
Manny: Oh, you know I won't say that we would have got her across the finish line.
287
Jeezy: No, Bro, we don't. We would have got over that finish line.
288
Manny: Twice, but we would have been on this podcast with the same amount of time, still tired.
289
Jeezy: Yep.
290
Manny: Still, because over that 107 day span you know how many hours of sleep that we might have gotten, we might have gotten.
291
Manny: 100 and 10.
292
Jeezy: Maybe.
293
Manny: I would be sitting with a sponsorship with prime energy. Drink Starbucks and monster.
294
Jeezy: Look, if you give us a budget of 1.2 billion
295
Manny: Boy.
296
Jeezy: Oh, we gonna? Make stuff shake.
297
Manny: We've done some wild stuff.
298
Jeezy: We gonna make some shape.
299
Manny: And then the excuse like, Oh, well, after the hurricanes, you know, we couldn't do anything for 2 weeks. What are you talking about? Georgia is 8. Georgia and North Carolina are battleground States.
300
Manny: They are battleground States now. I guess she is still the Vice President, and it takes a lot of infrastructure to move a vice President any point in time. Cool.
301
Manny: Donald Trump is still a former president, with a security detail that still requires almost most common
302
Manny: security detail, although there's some questions about how good it is they did.
303
Manny: They tried was, but like I'd have been in Georgia.
304
Jeezy: Yeah.
305
Manny: Oh, you would have got! I'd have been out there handing out hot fish plates.
306
Jeezy: Oh, Bro.
307
Jeezy: if we got if we gotta get get a hundred black suburbans, whatever we got to do to get.
308
Manny: We've made it happen.
309
Jeezy: We're going to make it happen.
310
Manny: But I think it's just. I think it is sad, and
311
Manny: I just feel like they could have tried harder if they really actually wanted to win this, but I think that there was a baked in excuse.
312
Jeezy: Yeah.
313
Manny: And they said, You know what?
314
Manny: We'll just do, what we know how to do
315
Manny: and look, and everyone keeps saying that, Hey, trump is is a strange candidate, you know. He's the only one that's gonna gonna do stuff like this, you know. So you know, after this, it's nothing to worry about. Ma'am.
316
Manny: man, have you not seen what everyone else is doing
317
Manny: like in all these Congressional races, and even down to the general assemblies across like the style of how to do this has changed like this same conventional thing that you've been doing since Gore Bush. It's not going to work anymore.
318
Jeezy: Nope, it's changing. The landscape is changing. You either get with it or get lost.
319
Manny: It sounds like there might be some people left behind set up like, okay cameras.
320
Jeezy: Well, man, you know this podcast was very telling, and we will see, you know, it was the talk of quite a few media outlets of of how they felt. You know, relatively similar to how we do here at the pod. So we will see how that message resonates with the Democratic party and what they do going forward. So with that being said.
321
Jeezy: when we talk about the Democratic party and excuses and all these things, there's 1 man who doesn't mind lying and making an excuse.
322
Manny: And.
323
Jeezy: That is, Grandpa Joe. President Joe Biden.
324
Jeezy: President Joe Biden released a statement on December first, st stating that today he signed a pardon for his son Hunter. That's right, folks. Hunter Biden is.
325
Manny: Free man.
326
Jeezy: Remade.
327
Manny: Hey!
328
Jeezy: And his daddy was so so nice enough.
329
Jeezy: and loved him so much. He gave him a window that if he wanted to commit any illegal acts. He had about 24 to 48 h to do it. Once he signed that pardon.
330
Manny: I am disappointed in Hunter Biden.
331
Jeezy: Bro.
332
Manny: And I'm not going to get into any of the crimes that he did. But I'm disappointed that he had. At least I'm guessing about 6 h.
333
Jeezy: None.
334
Manny: Man didn't try to steal the Declaration of Independence. He didn't try to ghost. Ride the whip outside the White House. He
335
Manny: you got a couple hours. You got to do something a little bit reckless with it, with.
336
Jeezy: I mean at least.
337
Manny: No pardon, but I think it's wild.
338
Jeezy: I would have been like Heath Ledger was in the batman hanging out that taxi.
339
Manny: That wind whipping through my hair.
340
Jeezy: I would have been Bruh, I would have ran through
341
Jeezy: DC. Like Heath. Leisure was running through Gotham. I would have had everybody on alert. But you know this was this was not received well at all
342
Jeezy: by, you know a lot of people, because, if you remember correctly.
343
Jeezy: Joe Biden said that he blatantly came out and said that he was not going to pardon
344
Jeezy: his son, and I don't know why he took the.
345
Manny: Why did anyone believe? Well, no, no, even before that, why did anyone believe him?
346
Jeezy: That's true. That's very true, Manny. That's very true. And and that's the point that I was going to make, because.
347
Jeezy: 1st of all, forget what he said.
348
Jeezy: I think as a as a father
349
Jeezy: and as you being a father, and I think most people that are just parents understand
350
Jeezy: that if they have a chance to do something to help their so their child.
351
Jeezy: and they believe in their heart of hearts that what the child has done, or or the crimes that they're asking answering to.
352
Jeezy: does not reflect who the child is. Now.
353
Jeezy: we would do the same thing.
354
Jeezy: I believe that if one of my kids were getting charged with something that they did. I'm gonna say, 5 years ago, and I know that you know they're they're in a position now, where I don't believe in my heart of heart that they're going to do this.
355
Jeezy: I probably would do the pardon, too. Bro.
356
Manny: I mean, I concur with all of that.
357
Manny: The the issue that I have with the partner? Well, first, st
358
Manny: I don't know why it's still again. I don't know why anyone was shocked that he did it like cause. That's that's pretty wild.
359
Manny: Second off my my issue comes with his statement within the buy within the.
360
Manny: That.
361
Manny: hey? This was a a political yeah, I don't remember the exact word. But this a political wish. Witch hunt trying to get at him through his family.
362
Manny: Time out. 1st of all, 1st of all.
363
Manny: shouldn't even be using the word witch hunt at all.
364
Manny: Capacity. Second point, this was run by your Department of Justice. They had to sign off on all this
365
Manny: 3rd of all, that man did everything that he was convicted of.
366
Manny: He didn't pay them taxes.
367
Jeezy: Nope, he lied all that good.
368
Manny: Lied on that gun application. He did that. It was him. This wasn't a political witch hunt.
369
Manny: Your son did something illegal and got caught and got going.
370
Manny: And that's where we are like
371
Manny: that being said, I agree with you a thousand percent. As a father, I would have just stepped in and did the same thing. But something tells me that Joe, while he was saying that, had his hands in his pocket
372
Manny: and crossed his fingers. And he's like, Oh, yeah, I have my fingers crossed like. But also
373
Manny: let's also realize where where Uncle Joe is at that man done.
374
Jeezy: He is.
375
Manny: That man is done like y'all done kicked him out of his campaign. Then y'all said he can't. Then y'all said y'all got him on a show. And then he went on this show and did what any 80 something year old grandpa would do, and just start rambling, and he done said some wild things, and then y'all don't say, Hey, you can't come outside and play with us no more. Joe is done with us. Joe has checked out. And how? How else do we know that Joe's checked out? Because immediately after he's like Ukraine, let it fly. Let the chopper sing.
376
Jeezy: Yep.
377
Manny: Let the truck.
378
Jeezy: What you got to do.
379
Manny: This man is doing a press conference in the middle of the rainforest. What Joe has done.
380
Manny: Joe was done said, I'm gonna look out for me and mine, and I'm gonna
381
Manny: as soon as it's over. I'm hop on that Amtrak train down to Delaware, and I'm gonna go chill with my family.
382
Jeezy: Bro. Did Joe really say screw America, Bro.
383
Manny: Bro. I think he did, man, I think he's done. I think he's done. Man. We.
384
Jeezy: You know who you blame the good old Nancy Pelosi.
385
Manny: Sure.
386
Jeezy: He said she was my dear friend, and look how she did me! You know what y'all talk about what they call them dark branded.
387
Manny: You might.
388
Jeezy: You gotta get dark branded now, but he ain't about to. He ain't about to let up, hey? Why, he giving them pardons out, though if he really want to get in with the black community he could free see murder right.
389
Manny: So no, no, no, no, let's get into that. So one of the things that after this pardon, I was like, wait a second. I gotta. I gotta go dig into some some things. And I was listening to Roland Martin. And
390
Manny: oh, man, I can't forget. I forgot her name.
391
Manny: But there is a young lady who was on his show
392
Manny: and Bet plus just released a movie about her. And I'm gonna think of this name at some point but either at some point in this podcast or later on. But she
393
Manny: She was wrongly, not wrongly. Well, I don't know all the details, so I'll be very high level. But she was essentially wrongly convicted. Her boyfriend that she was in a relationship with at the time had been highly abusive, and basically, she got arrested. And they're like, Oh, well, you're here doing all this stuff. So we didn't give you 25 years.
394
Manny: There are hundreds of thousands of stories of like that of people across the country.
395
Jeezy: So I was like, Hmm.
396
Manny: Joseph, how many people have you pardoned in your time?
397
Jeezy: And jeez.
398
Manny: I would like you to guess.
399
Jeezy: Oh, really.
400
Manny: How many in their 4 years?
401
Manny: How many people have they pardoned? We'll start with a simpler question first.st Do you believe Joe Biden has pardoned more or fewer people than Donald Trump.
402
Jeezy: I'm definitely going to say fewer.
403
Manny: You are 1,000% right?
404
Jeezy: Yeah, I'm definitely gonna say, fewer.
405
Manny: Yep.
406
Jeezy: If I had to put a number on it.
407
Jeezy: I'ma, be honest with you. I feel like it's a single digit number.
408
Manny: It's not a it's not a single digit, but it.
409
Jeezy: Oh, okay.
410
Manny: It's in the range.
411
Jeezy: 12!
412
Manny: No little bit higher, a little bit higher.
413
Jeezy: 23.
414
Manny: Oh, you're you're close! You're close.
415
Jeezy: Oops!
416
Manny: Up a little bit more.
417
Jeezy: 26.
418
Manny: Right there, right there. One more.
419
Jeezy: 27.
420
Manny: 27, Joe Biden.
421
Jeezy: That's it.
422
Manny: Since 2021 has pardoned 27 people
423
Manny: in their 4 years. How many people do you think, Donald Trump pardoned.
424
Jeezy: Oh, he got a he got a lot of criminal friends. So
425
Jeezy: I got to take that into account.
426
Jeezy: I'm gonna say, seventies, eighties.
427
Manny: Now Donald Trump has pardoned in his 1st 4 years pardoned 143 people.
428
Jeezy: Gut!
429
Jeezy: Hey! Come on now, Joe.
430
Manny: What are you doing like? That's my question like cool. So you you've now pardoned your son, that has clearly did everything that he was charged of.
431
Jeezy: But the people that are wrongfully convicted that you have an opportunity to pardon those people
432
Jeezy: you don't do it.
433
Jeezy: Yep. He could have waited in he could have waited. Hunter ain't even sitting in jail like
434
Jeezy: he could have waited and did this on the last day out.
435
Manny: Right. And so I then went digging some more. I was like, well, how many? So the process to my understanding is, you're in the situation, and you submit an application to department adjustments to the pardon attorney for for clemency, or to commute the sentence as of September 16, th 2024.
436
Manny: There are 9,009 people.
437
Jeezy: Waiting.
438
Manny: That have submitted applications, and we all know one of those names the the tiger Kang.
439
Jeezy: Oh, bruh!
440
Jeezy: So I would get comfortable.
441
Manny: Right.
442
Manny: But I'm just like, Okay, Joe, like, what are you going to do now?
443
Manny: You you still got some time
444
Manny: you? Are you going to pardon some more people.
445
Manny: you know, because if you felt as though
446
Manny: that your son was deserving of a pardon.
447
Manny: then I can almost guarantee there's probably at least.
448
Manny: I'm being conservative. 150 people of these 9,000 that were either wrongly convicted, or the judges and attorneys are just like, hey? They've done their time. Let's commute their sentences.
449
Manny: I'm almost certain that there is a a very long list.
450
Jeezy: Oh, yeah.
451
Manny: People that. And let's go. Let's let's keep going on that, Joe. You you are a devout Catholic man.
452
Manny: Okay, are there some people with death sentences that deserve, you know, if you're truly going to be this pro-life person, then there are a lot of people on Death row that you should be commuting their sentences to life in prison.
453
Manny: so that.
454
Jeezy: Make sense.
455
Jeezy: George W. Bush, Joe Biden is the lowest of the past 4 Presidents.
456
Manny: Yes.
457
Jeezy: I mean, I'm looking at these numbers.
458
Manny: Hw. Have 77 lightning.
459
Manny: Am I expecting him to do Eisenhower or Truman numbers? No, but Barack had.
460
Jeezy: That's 2, 1.
461
Manny: So it's like, what are what's going on here?
462
Manny: But we'll see but again, no one should be surprised that this this happened
463
Manny: again. I this that truly to to a point that you made, that would have been something that I would have done what he loses Presidential power on January 20, th
464
Manny: at noon, that is, when it officially happens. You would have seen me out there at the inauguration with a piece of paper at 1158.
465
Manny: And you know it's like, what did. What did President Wilder just hand to the that was my last thing.
466
Jeezy: Got something for you.
467
Manny: 3 300.
468
Jeezy: And he.
469
Manny: And he was set up to go to trial here in a little bit. But yeah, man.
470
Manny: I think the outrage is somewhat faked
471
Manny: on the Democratic side, because no one should have been surprised. But the flip side of this now is man. You know
472
Manny: the most excited people that I would think probably exist right now is probably
473
Manny: Oh, the rest of the Trump family.
474
Manny: Don, Jr. About to go. Do all the cocaine in the world.
475
Jeezy: Oh, Bro, they're gonna be a hinge. Bro.
476
Manny: Oh, it's like, Oh, cool the precedent's been. And to be clear, Joe Biden is not the 1st president to
477
Manny: pardon a member of their family. Yeah, trump did it with Ivanka's father-in-law.
478
Jeezy: Yep clinton's done it. Who.
479
Jeezy: I believe he is now the ambassador to France.
480
Manny: You're trying. Yep, France!
481
Jeezy: So I'm about to change my last name to trump.
482
Manny: But hey, hey, Donnie! My name is Manny. Trump.
483
Jeezy: Can I? Can I get some of those residuals that.
484
Manny: Right.
485
Jeezy: The Trump Family, but.
486
Manny: No one should be shocked by this.
487
Jeezy: Not at all.
488
Manny: From a from a father perspective. I'm happy that Joe was able to provide a second chance to his son.
489
Jeezy: Yeah.
490
Manny: If if I'm.
491
Jeezy: Your nose clean. Hunter.
492
Manny: Bruh
493
Jeezy: Literally. I figured.
494
Manny: Yeah, please take notes, please.
495
Manny: If I'm Hunter, I would have fallen on my knees and thank the Lord above.
496
Jeezy: Megan.
497
Manny: Second chance.
498
Jeezy: Let me tell you, cause you was about to be.
499
Manny: You about to eat a pickle.
500
Jeezy: Well with that being said, since we want to talk about
501
Jeezy: Pickles, you know what time it is, Manny.
502
Manny: -Oh, we got your pick.
503
Jeezy: Y'all.
504
Manny: We got your pickle we got your pickle.
505
Jeezy: We are at that point.
506
Manny: Oh, man!
507
Jeezy: That we all so dearly enjoy, which is our pickle of the week
508
Jeezy: we got. There's so many options. Jeez.
509
Jeezy: there's so many options. It's so hard, man it was that little rascal little clip where he's like I got 2 pickles. I had to get that for social media, brother. There's so many pickles, man, but our pickle of the week is going to be none other than Mr. Pete Hexep.
510
Manny: Oh, oh, pistol! P.
511
Jeezy: It's the P. Fighting Bro.
512
Jeezy: Fighting man, he fighting to try to get through this this nomination. First, st it was reported that a letter, or email rather, from his mother, Miss Penelope.
513
Jeezy: Give her some respect, Miss Penelope.
514
Manny: Miss Penny.
515
Jeezy: Miss Penny had sent an email, basically in a nutshell, talking about how horrible of a person, not how horrible of a son he is, but how horrible of a person
516
Jeezy: that Pete was detailing, that he was an abuser. He was very manipulative, he was very degrading and abusive and manipulating to women, and she didn't have any good things to say. She later came out and apologized, but her apology did not entail her, saying that she.
517
Manny: Was wrong for what she said.
518
Manny: I said what I said.
519
Jeezy: I was at that Nene Lee's clip. I said what I said.
520
Jeezy: but her apology was that she hated that this was made public.
521
Jeezy: and that was her apology. And this
522
Jeezy: detail has been along with others, has been going crazy in the media when it regards to Pete and him trying to get this nomination. It's been said that he has an alcoholic problem.
523
Jeezy: So how can he lead the the military when you know they may have to talk to him at 4 o'clock in the morning, and he's drunk off his tail.
524
Jeezy: so they've thrown that out there, and he's gone up on Capitol Hill to try to rally some support. And of course you know who was there with him? None other than.
525
Manny: Jd.
526
Jeezy: Jd. Van Seyton, Bro.
527
Manny: Got to. We see him. He's here. He's okay.
528
Jeezy: We saw Jd. So so far since the election we've seen Jd. 3 times. I think it was with Matt Gaetz.
529
Jeezy: with Pete Hedgeff, and then they he was in North Carolina. I want to say this past week, maybe this week. Yep. So you know Mr. Donnie is letting is letting him come out of hiding a little bit more, but not not too much for vice. President Musk, though you can't.
530
Manny: Yay!
531
Jeezy: Can't be saying too much more than vice. President Musk.
532
Manny: You can't overstep. You can't overstep the boundaries of the order of operations here.
533
Jeezy: Which which off topic. But if I'm Vic. Jd, I might feel some type of way, because I saw at Thanksgiving Trump, and must they dancing together side by side like Bro. I'm the Vice President.
534
Manny: But he, Jd. Didn't even get the Franklin invite.
535
Jeezy: He didn't, Bro. He wouldn't even.
536
Manny: I'm saying what I said the other side. Right trump, said.
537
Jeezy: No, I was like.
538
Manny: The club.
539
Jeezy: Trump said, no, I remember all that stuff you said before you got here.
540
Jeezy: Stand on business. Stand on business. Yep, but but you know Pete has has pulled Jd. In to help him, and I have seen reports that even his own mother has called up to talk to certain Senators. Say, Hey, you know, my son, this and my son that, to try to kind of make it sound good for him. And President-elect Donald Trump has told him that
541
Jeezy: keep fighting. We think we were thinking, at least, for now we were thinking he was going to get the Gates treatment. And he was going to basically say, Hey, look, yeah, it's time to. It's time to get your ball and go home. But but Trump is telling him to fight it out. So for now for now.
542
Manny: We. We got a long time between now and confirmation hearings.
543
Jeezy: A very long time, and there's other allegations and reports that have come out about Pete as well, that are just as damaging. But albeit allegations. But Pete is in a pickle man. He! I thought that I thought Matt Gaetz might have had a
544
Jeezy: that's a pretty tough hill to climb, but it's Peace Mountain's getting a little tall, too.
545
Manny: Well, let's be clear.
546
Manny: you know. Gates's Hill to climb. Wasn't that high? Because no one expected him to be actually be able to climb that hill.
547
Manny: something.
548
Manny: Someone came up to me and said, Man, and we want you to climb mount, climb Mount Everest.
549
Manny: Most of those people would just be shocked if I got to Nepal.
550
Manny: But oh.
551
Jeezy: Oh, you made it this way.
552
Manny: Farm man, but where I think it's even worse, for Pete is is the sharks are starting to circle.
553
Jeezy: -
554
Manny: Because, you know, I've seen a couple people, especially old Desantis. He's coming. I'll run the Pentagon.
555
Jeezy: Oh, boy!
556
Manny: Hey, Donnie, hit me up. I'll run the Pentagon for you.
557
Manny: Maybe there's when the blood is in the water.
558
Manny: Them sharks will circle.
559
Jeezy: Man ain't nobody trying to see Donnie up there, man. He he gonna take too long to get through clearance when he got to take them shoes off, and they see that he got them stilts in there.
560
Manny: The stilt.
561
Jeezy: Yeah, they're gonna see them stilts in there, and it's gonna take him too long to go through security. But.
562
Manny: That we ain't got time, man, go ahead and get him some crocs.
563
Jeezy: Yeah. So platform crocs is wild. But Bro, he he's in a he's in a bit of a pickle man. They're trying to do everything
564
Jeezy: possible to get to get him through
565
Jeezy: but there's as we've said here on the pod, I'll never gonna make it.
566
Jeezy: It's gonna be all for, not because he gonna be sitting right back. He might lose his job at Fox, because they've been putting some pressure on Fox, too, like, Hey, y'all ain't. Y'all ain't out of this, either. Y'all telling me y'all ain't know all this stuff about him.
567
Manny: This, your man's.
568
Jeezy: If I was pulling a who? Who me?
569
Manny: Cliff.
570
Jeezy: Don't worry.
571
Jeezy: Oh, no, no, no! We knew all that. Good Bro.
572
Jeezy: Brother Pete's in a in a bit of a bind here he's in a pickle. So we are going to see how that pans out. And honestly, we can make almost quite a few of the nominations, pickles, because it's pretty wild, man.
573
Manny: But you got some pressure.
574
Jeezy: Oh, oh, Cash! Patel! Wild, too, but we gonna leave him alone.
575
Manny: Right. We'll we'll see him in 3 years. When when that seat finally becomes open.
576
Jeezy: Bruh, and well, if he make it, because you know him and
577
Jeezy: him and Don Jr. Allegedly lived around white ponies.
578
Manny: But besides, okay, trump.
579
Jeezy: Handed out pardons like a like draw. Twos right.
580
Manny: And honestly, I do.
581
Jeezy: It would.
582
Manny: Going back to the pardon thing. The pardon he got was over 10 years in unconditional like every he basically said, look everything my son's done for the last 10 years. He ain't doing.
583
Jeezy: And and even if you did do it.
584
Manny: You know what I mean? That's that's what Joe said. He said he.
585
Jeezy: If you give me a 10 year unconditional, I'm looking back at all the stuff that I actually didn't do that. I'm like, you know what I should have just went ahead and done it.
586
Manny: But.
587
Jeezy: I should have went ahead and done it.
588
Manny: Covered it all, you know.
589
Jeezy: But hey! That that is our pickle
590
Jeezy: of the week. We'll see how Brother Pete gets through this. Will he meet a similar fate of as Matt Gaetz or
591
Jeezy: Willie seemed to make it through the door.
592
Jeezy: Only time will tell.
593
Jeezy: So
594
Jeezy: with that being said, we will move on to our final segment of the show, and that is our spotlight of the week. And we actually got spotlights.
595
Jeezy: Tweet.
596
Manny: Man. We were talking about this before, and
597
Manny: literally everyone, everything that we're getting ready to talk about.
598
Manny: These could have all been their own standalone episodes.
599
Manny: These could have all been their own pickles. But we're going to try to cover it at a very high level, because the situations are steadily evolving.
600
Manny: So I'm not going to go into all of them in detail. But we'll hit a couple of them real quick. 1st off South Korea.
601
Manny: We're keeping our eye on South Korea. Because
602
Manny: if you weren't following that, the South Korean President decided to pop out on TV and say, Hey, we under martial law.
603
Manny: Y'all can't do it nothing.
604
Manny: And then they Congress came in and said, Hold up what? No, that's that's not how we do things here.
605
Manny: And then he came out a couple hours there. It's like, yeah, they right we, we not doing martial law.
606
Manny: And then they try to impeach him.
607
Manny: And all of the linked party was like, Yeah, okay, we. But we're not about to impeach the man.
608
Manny: So some some stuff is in the water. So that's the 1st thing.
609
Manny: Then, on top of that, you know, we still got the steady situation over in Ukraine and Russia.
610
Manny: That that playing out with the North Korean troops now addicted to porn.
611
Manny: Okay, cool.
612
Manny: That's all right.
613
Jeezy: The boys got away from North Korea, got a taste of freedom, and say, Hey, bro! They pulled like my Homie did at Harlem nights. Call your get your mom on the phone.
614
Manny: I ain't ever.
615
Jeezy: Coming back home.
616
Manny: So they don't hit that. So that's all happening down there.
617
Manny: Then you go down to Israel and Gaza and them trying to get
618
Manny: everything going on with that you got the deal that with Lebanon that looks like it's still holding, even though they're still yelling back and forth.
619
Manny: so we'll see what happens with that.
620
Manny: Then on top of that we, they, Israel, still lighting up Gaza
621
Manny: like trying to bring these hostages home.
622
Jeezy: Number one.
623
Manny: That.
624
Manny: Then you go up to Romania.
625
Manny: who's just been like oh, no! Oh! Who just got through their Presidential election, and of which that Supreme Court.
626
Jeezy: Be it.
627
Manny: They thought they did. So. Now we're gonna run this back. Nope, Nope.
628
Manny: so I don't know what y'all what y'all doing. But y'all need to stop.
629
Jeezy: So we need to show.
630
Manny: They!
631
Jeezy: Which is interesting with the Romania one because they put a halt to it and basically sent it back because they're saying that Russia has been interfering
632
Jeezy: in the election, and if I heard a detail correctly, the guy who is like who basically was like a nobody that made it to the second round.
633
Jeezy: This dude ain't spend no money. Oh, being away 15!
634
Jeezy: He ain't got no, he ain't got no campaign budget. He ain't got no homie, was shopping at Costco.
635
Manny: You can go picking the paper towel.
636
Jeezy: A happened to stop and got him a hot dog and a pretzel, and now he made it to the second round. They like hold on! Hold on! Hold on!
637
Manny: Oh, sorry!
638
Jeezy: We ain't stupid. He is very pro Russia and wants, and he wants that whole Ukraine best like done, too. So that's that little bit I saw on that. But go ahead, brother.
639
Manny: So you you got that popping off. And then the big one from that that's happening is Syria.
640
Manny: So
641
Manny: Syria. And we'll spend a little bit talking about this, but before we head out Syria has been under the Assad family rule for many years now.
642
Jeezy: -
643
Manny: People have been not too happy. But the the Assad regime has been largely propped up by Iran and Russia.
644
Jeezy: -
645
Manny: Well, the
646
Manny: the oh, man, the what do you call? I don't even know what to call them, because brain brain is resetting. But basically, they said they fed up the resistance. We'll call it the resistance.
647
01:00:01.640 --> 01:00:02.689
Jeezy: Yeah. The resistance.
648
01:00:02.690 --> 01:00:06.649
Manny: Has been storming through Syria.
649
01:00:06.770 --> 01:00:11.270
Manny: Take catching these new cities like Ass Kesham was catching pokemon.
650
01:00:11.270 --> 01:00:14.550
Jeezy: Brother like a a mighty roaring wind.
651
01:00:15.105 --> 01:00:22.529
Manny: But Ukraine, not Ukraine. Russia and Iran tried to help out, and sent some missiles
652
01:00:22.570 --> 01:00:26.459
Manny: to try to be like, Hey, hey, y'all stop! That ain't stop them.
653
01:00:26.460 --> 01:00:27.000
Jeezy: Nope.
654
01:00:27.000 --> 01:00:29.010
Manny: So as of Sunday.
655
01:00:29.410 --> 01:00:38.870
Manny: These people, the the resistance has taken Damascus and Assad said, Whoops!
656
01:00:39.000 --> 01:00:45.350
Manny: I'm out! Y'all have fun with this, and has fled the country and said, Y'all can run it now.
657
01:00:45.440 --> 01:00:51.239
Manny: Yeah. So now, after 13 years of civil war, their government has collapsed.
658
01:00:51.240 --> 01:00:52.460
Jeezy: It has collapsed.
659
01:00:52.710 --> 01:01:01.520
Manny: And now they will have to essentially figure out where they go from here.
660
01:01:01.520 --> 01:01:18.570
Jeezy: I saw that the Prime Minister actually stayed back, because he, along with his team, will work with whatever transition will take will take place. So in Assad's whereabouts, according to President Biden.
661
01:01:18.620 --> 01:01:19.960
Jeezy: are unknown.
662
01:01:19.990 --> 01:01:21.130
Jeezy: Homie homie, with.
663
01:01:21.130 --> 01:01:24.560
Manny: That man isn't. That man is in Russia. That man is in Russia. Look! Come on.
664
01:01:24.560 --> 01:01:27.549
Jeezy: I was gonna say he was in Bali with Russell Simmons, but.
665
01:01:33.234 --> 01:01:33.750
Manny: Okay.
666
01:01:33.750 --> 01:01:34.310
Jeezy: Hmm.
667
01:01:34.310 --> 01:01:42.320
Manny: That so here, here, I think, was where everyone should be thankful that at least this happened fast
668
01:01:42.390 --> 01:01:57.160
Manny: is that we, the the casualties for innocent civilians is now way is, is far, far different than had this been a long drawn out battle. Yeah, so I'm thankful from that standpoint.
669
01:01:57.630 --> 01:01:59.050
Manny: you know, and then
670
01:01:59.130 --> 01:02:11.699
Manny: Syria is going to need some help. In terms of how they get up their direction, forward and support. And it will be interesting how the larger
671
01:02:11.930 --> 01:02:16.779
Manny: international international support will kind of play out.
672
01:02:17.070 --> 01:02:20.649
Manny: Because now you got you have a new leadership, you know, who
673
01:02:20.790 --> 01:02:38.129
Manny: ultimately, with everything happening in the world right now, whose side of this new leadership gonna go on, you know, is it gonna be more Western focus, or you know more? China, Ukraine, the sorry China Russia focus man. I'm already starting to Count Ukraine back over to Russia. But
674
01:02:39.120 --> 01:02:39.630
Manny: so.
675
01:02:39.630 --> 01:02:40.360
Jeezy: My beta in a couple of.
676
01:02:40.360 --> 01:02:43.130
Manny: Right man, but it
677
01:02:43.180 --> 01:02:53.549
Manny: it was a very, very fast process, and I won't say fast process, because they've been there for 13 years. But from the 1st the 1st cities they started taking over to the last ones.
678
01:02:53.550 --> 01:02:55.000
Jeezy: Yeah. It was moving pretty quick.
679
01:02:55.000 --> 01:03:02.840
Manny: But then also you got you got Iran. Iran's down bad, too, because them were your boys.
680
01:03:02.930 --> 01:03:14.240
Manny: you know. So you they've lost a lot over these last couple of years. Sorry? Not in the last couple of last couple of months. So how is Iran? Viewed on a standpoint, you know.
681
01:03:15.540 --> 01:03:19.700
Manny: All questions that we are going to be watching here at the pod.
682
01:03:19.860 --> 01:03:28.820
Jeezy: Yeah, man, it sounds like the the world's on fire, man. There's a lot going on in the world, man, we have a lot going on domestically here.
683
01:03:29.340 --> 01:03:53.810
Jeezy: With our transition, and you know the things that are going on respective to our country. And then you look at how that plays out, and how that affects what things are going to look like, you know, overseas. And even, you know, in in with Mexico and Canada. You know, we've seen some some bit of you know, riffraff going on between. You know the Us. Canada and
684
01:03:54.291 --> 01:03:57.310
Jeezy: Mexico, I believe that's all. Trump, said that he. You know he.
685
01:03:58.508 --> 01:03:59.750
Manny: Be our 51st State.
686
01:03:59.750 --> 01:04:02.247
Jeezy: He might make Canada. That's a big state.
687
01:04:02.560 --> 01:04:02.890
Manny: Bruh.
688
01:04:03.490 --> 01:04:08.569
Manny: That's the disrespect I'm like. Come on now for the disrespect of multiple. Not only
689
01:04:09.100 --> 01:04:20.089
Manny: all of Canada. 1st of all, at minimum Canada should be 5 States, and then we also not going to act like we ain't got Puerto Rico. That should have been a State by now.
690
01:04:20.500 --> 01:04:22.610
Jeezy: Puerto Rico, like Hey.
691
01:04:22.610 --> 01:04:23.820
Manny: Hey? What about a what.
692
01:04:23.820 --> 01:04:25.290
Jeezy: But I don't. What about me, too.
693
01:04:25.290 --> 01:04:27.000
Manny: We want to do this.
694
01:04:27.309 --> 01:04:31.020
Jeezy: You ain't gotta fight Canada. You can just. We'll be 51.st
695
01:04:31.130 --> 01:04:39.500
Manny: Right. We'll sign them right. We'll sign today. And then you got DC, hold on. We can't forget about DC, they're like, wait a second.
696
01:04:39.500 --> 01:04:40.139
Jeezy: Man, listen.
697
01:04:40.140 --> 01:04:41.499
Manny: We'll be a state, too.
698
01:04:41.500 --> 01:04:50.179
Jeezy: I want DC. To be a state so bad, so that when I go there they will take down all of these traffic, these stop these stoplight cameras.
699
01:04:50.210 --> 01:04:55.740
Jeezy: because, since they don't get Federal funding like they like, they need to. As a State, they got cameras on every single.
700
01:04:55.740 --> 01:04:56.790
Manny: Dream, corner.
701
01:04:56.810 --> 01:05:03.400
Jeezy: And they making bank by taking taking everybody money. Because if you if you go through and it's yellow and they turn red, that's a
702
01:05:04.530 --> 01:05:05.630
Jeezy: take it, I'm saying.
703
01:05:05.630 --> 01:05:18.400
Manny: The. The one thing that I'll remind our use our listeners about is the one thing I'm not worried about is that a war happening with a foreign power here in the United States.
704
01:05:18.420 --> 01:05:23.559
Manny: There there was once a foreign general that said, there will never be
705
01:05:23.590 --> 01:05:27.070
Manny: a war in the United States with another country.
706
01:05:27.330 --> 01:05:31.679
Manny: because there is a gun behind every blade of grass.
707
01:05:32.290 --> 01:05:33.110
Jeezy: -
708
01:05:33.110 --> 01:05:34.332
Manny: So you know.
709
01:05:35.430 --> 01:05:35.880
Jeezy: Hey, babe!
710
01:05:35.880 --> 01:05:41.489
Manny: And you know, so I think they're just plotting that we take ourselves out. But this is.
711
01:05:42.640 --> 01:05:44.220
Manny: we got a whole lot going on
712
01:05:44.540 --> 01:06:02.579
Manny: of the year like, and some of it we just don't have time to talk about. You know. We ain't got time to talk about the political ramifications of what happened in the unfortunate situation with the united healthcare CEO. But that's a whole thing that we'll see how that plays out. But.
713
01:06:02.580 --> 01:06:03.050
Jeezy: Yeah. Man.
714
01:06:03.050 --> 01:06:07.289
Manny: Yeah. Them them be our spotlights of the week.
715
01:06:07.290 --> 01:06:24.140
Jeezy: There they are. There's enough to keep a spotlight on. So we will see how these things play out. And you guys know that here at the pod, however, they play out. We will give you details on what we think and how we see those things
716
01:06:24.140 --> 01:06:40.309
Jeezy: transpiring and affecting us. So with that being said, that is, episode 12, season one, the partner, politics, podcast thank you for listening and tuning in. We're so thankful for the time that you've spent with us, man, you got anything for the people.
717
01:06:40.520 --> 01:06:44.090
Manny: And nothing else. Right now we will see you guys next week.
718
01:06:44.090 --> 01:06:47.450
Jeezy: We'll see you guys next week if nobody loves you. Just know we do. Here.
719
01:06:47.450 --> 01:06:48.390
Manny: And the politics.
720
01:06:48.390 --> 01:06:49.869
Jeezy: Cast take care, people.
721
01:06:50.100 --> 01:06:50.720
Manny: Bye.
