Manny: Man, I'm doing good. How are you doing this fine afternoon?
3
Jeezy: Hey, man, I'm doing all right, man, any day. Above above ground is a is a great day, no matter how that day looks. I'm glad to have a day, whether it's good or bad, so I can't complain. Man.
4
Manny: That's fair because between us, recording the last podcast and this podcast somebody cannot say that somebody can.
5
Manny: And we're, I believe we're gonna talk about this.
6
Jeezy: I believe so, brother, as the good old gospel song goes, millions didn't make it, but I was the one that did.
7
Manny: Yeah.
8
Jeezy: Somebody didn't have a good day today.
9
Jeezy: But guess what I did.
10
Manny: Yeah.
11
Jeezy: So, man, I'm so glad to be back pot and doing another episode so welcome to our listeners tuning into Episode 17. I hope that this episode finds you in the in the greatest and best spirit that you can possibly be. I hope all is well, and we appreciate you tuning in so.
12
Manny: Always.
13
Jeezy: With that being said, we'll go ahead and jump right into our episode. I think we all are familiar with this event that has happened globally in our world, and that is Pope Francis
14
Jeezy: passed away on Easter Monday, which was April the 21, st at the age of 88.
15
Manny: That's a long. That's a long life, man.
16
Jeezy: That is man.
17
Manny: A long life.
18
Jeezy: That is a long life. According to the Vatican, the cause of death was a stroke
19
Jeezy: which, followed by an irreversible, basically his cardio circulatory, collapsed. Now.
20
Manny: Man and the man been going through it for the he was he was going through in these last couple months.
21
Jeezy: He he has.
22
Jeezy: I believe that I thought he was on the men. You know he.
23
Manny: Yeah, yeah.
24
Jeezy: When we saw him on Easter he looked good, but then, all of a sudden.
25
Jeezy: we seen him with Jd. Vance.
26
Jeezy: and I saw him shaking hands with Jd. And the next thing I know I woke up Monday morning, and the man was dead, and I was like, wait, wait, wait, wait! Hold up! I thought that he was. I thought he was being restored to his most wanted and needed health, and he was shaking hands and talking. You know, the last person he spent his days with happened to be Jd. And the tenfold. Had Community been saying, Jd. May have a.
27
Manny: Okay, something to do with this.
28
Manny: I mean.
29
Manny: you know, before we before we dig into, I think it was probably great for him to, you know, they say when when old people are getting ready to transition, they have that that moment of clarity that.
30
Jeezy: And why.
31
Manny: Last rush of energy for so for him to spend his last last days, I think they said, even on Easter he was. He went out to a prison there, and then took that ride around the Basilica and Saint Peter's Square to to see the people in the Pope Mobile.
32
Manny: and for I think, for the crowd, I think every time you see the Pope out amongst the people, and this and Pope Francis is definitely one of the popes, who was definitely out amongst the people. But.
33
Jeezy: Yeah.
34
Manny: For him to take that
35
Manny: that trip in the Popemobile, to really just be loved on by the crowd. Before.
36
Jeezy: I don't know why the Popemobile just here.
37
Jeezy: Oh, does it have an official title? Does it have official name when he rides in his vehicle.
38
Manny: Pope, Pope force one.
39
Jeezy: The Popemobile sounds like he comes sliding down like batman, and.
40
Manny: Man, but it's bulletproof.
41
Jeezy: Bruh, I will say, though.
42
Jeezy: you know, going back. And I thought about this for on a serious note, because y'all y'all know how we are here at partner politics.
43
Manny: We're gonna give these jokes off.
44
Jeezy: We don't get the jokes off but but before I say what I have to say, his funeral was Saturday, April 26, th and
45
Jeezy: There was an attendance of over 250,000 mourners, including
46
Jeezy: numerous people that were global dignitaries. And you know, when I thought about this.
47
Manny: You're trying to figure out who was frying their fish.
48
Jeezy: Oh, Bro, look! 1st of all, I want to know as as the black community would say, you got to ask 2 things when somebody passed
49
Jeezy: who who got the body.
50
Jeezy: And who, who, preparing the food.
51
Manny: Got to know. These are these are key things I have to know.
52
Jeezy: I got to know. So so I need trump. If you hear this, we know you were in attendance. If you went to the repass. Let us know, man, how was the fried chicken with the macaroni and cheese suffice?
53
Jeezy: yeah, let us let us know. I've never been to a Catholic repass. I don't even know if Catholics have repasses.
54
Manny: Another thing. Another thing we need to find out, man, if you're a listener and you are Catholic
55
Manny: better than death.
56
Manny: Is there? Repass.
57
Jeezy: Is there a repass? And what do you eat at.
58
Manny: And what do you eat?
59
Jeezy: Because I mean everybody got to be hungry after the proceedings. You got to get you a good hot piece of fish, or at least a chicken.
60
Manny: Got you.
61
Jeezy: But in in in all seriousness.
62
Jeezy: When I thought about the Pope, and there's a lot of
63
Jeezy: ceremonial and and a lot of just proceedings that go on. This is a long process. I know we were talking before. I think the longest. I've seen this take this long for somebody to be buried was James Brown.
64
Jeezy: It just it just seems like it is a lot. So I was just like this is.
65
Jeezy: you know, kind of crazy. I've never seen this on a serious note. The only time I've ever seen something that takes so long, I believe, is like when the Queen died when England died like. So I'm like, Okay, there's so much ceremonial things. And all these things that take place. And even with the Pope. Now, with this episode dropping. There's still things that have to take place with selecting a new Pope.
66
Jeezy: But my thought process led me to when I heard about, you know things that he's done different like he's, I think, like in centuries he's going to be one of the 1st Pope in centuries is not going to be buried like, I guess, where the Pope typically gets buried like he's in.
67
Jeezy: Yeah, very mode is
68
Jeezy: like burial site. That is not. I'm using the word flashy, but not flashy, and not of what you would expect the Pope to have. It's very modest. And when I saw this and read about this, it made me kind of look into
69
Jeezy: the legacy of life of Pope Francis, because, you know, when I see the Pope pass.
70
Jeezy: I wonder what was his influence, you know on the world what was his influence globally?
71
Jeezy: And one of the things that seemed to come up about Pope Francis a lot was this modesty that this very he was very humble. The humility of the Pope was one that was
72
Jeezy: was talked about so much, and from my understanding seemed to be he's 1 of the popes that are known will go down as being known as one of the most modest popes that we have seen in our in in this world. So you know, just to see
73
Jeezy: the ceremonial proceedings that happened in his death. But to see how this man was such a modest human being
74
Jeezy: really kind of spoke volume to me. I'm not a very knowledgeable person about the Catholic faith.
75
Jeezy: I'm not Catholic, but certainly I knew of the Pope, but to know that his legacy that he leaves behind is, if this of a modesty I think you pointed out at the beginning episode the day of his the day before he died. You know he's out serving.
76
Jeezy: You know out, you know, wanting to see the people being a man of the people. And you know you look at some of the things that he's done and changed. And
77
Jeezy: you know, one of the things I'm trying to understand with the Pope is the influence that each Pope has, and certain popes are different than other popes, and I know from from them being a spiritual guide, it led me, and I know this is probably weird by them being spiritual guides. But it led me to think, where does he rank among the popes
78
Jeezy: that that that we have seen.
79
Manny: well, okay, so you you dropped a whole bunch of there that hop in on. So we, I'm just gonna go right down the line. So
80
Manny: at 1st I think what people forgot is a Vatican city is a is its own country. Yeah, with the with the Swiss guard. So you know
81
Manny: we're seeing the the death and the ceremony. Ceremonialness of a sitting head of state.
82
Jeezy: Yeah, yeah, I think I remember saying something to you like that, like dog. The Pope really has, like.
83
Manny: Oh, yeah.
84
Jeezy: I didn't realize the Pope was that powerful like really.
85
Manny: Yeah. So I think that's the that's the the 1st piece of it going on to the second piece. I think that when you look at his
86
Manny: reign, his time in office. Yeah. A was really just about the people like he was really being that that spiritual shepherd, even from the start, so, not taking the usual Pope quarters in Vatican City, he chose a much more modest apartment.
87
Manny: and it's my understanding that even at his time of death. He he owned only a couple things like literally a couple things like it was some shoes, some black shoes@firstst Off I get it.
88
Manny: Hey, Black? Go to everything black. Go with everything, and you need it.
89
Manny: You need a pair of comfortable shoes. You gotta be in there.
90
Jeezy: Find that one where you find that one you like. Nope, this is it.
91
Manny: Let me go get 4 or 5 of them pairs, and keep moving, but for him to always be amongst the people, and to keep that as the forefront, and just some of the 1st with him. He was the 1st Jesuit Latin American Pope.
92
Jeezy: -
93
Manny: So definitely a big win per se for Latin America. And then, if you also looked at what he did, he was really big on putting people close. He never forgot the foundation of the Church. I feel so me also, not being Catholic, but also understanding.
94
Manny: In the in these last couple days his impact. He sent cardinals and heads of the heads of the church to locations that typically hadn't had cardinals and hadn't had leaders of the faith. And then also, I think the other thing, he'll go down as as is a large reformer of the Church, not only just really trying to address the
95
Manny: the concerns of the people being more liberal
96
Manny: and definitely his focus on LGBT right.
97
Manny: Women social justice, and then living in harmony with other religions. If you look at all the comments that came out about him in the in the day, the day, or let it more accurately the hours after his death. That's something that people really talked about was like. He really just pushed for the the dialogue between faiths.
98
Manny: now, did he get everything right? No, you know. He's I think
99
Manny: there are a couple movies that.
100
Jeezy: Yeah.
101
Manny: I watched over the last week. Angels and demons
102
Manny: and and conclave we'll get to the conclave later. But one of the lines in angels of demons is, Hey, these are. These are systems built by men, and men aren't perfect.
103
Manny: So I think he recognized his flawless flaws and really just kind of
104
Manny: try to navigate through those. But to grant that same mercy to other people. You know he was big, being against the death penalty. He was big on doing what needed to be done to try to stop wars and and hurting people. So it'll be interesting to not only see what his legacy looks like. And let's also not forget. He came into the Papacy at a very interesting time.
105
Jeezy: Yeah.
106
Manny: Because we all remember Pope Pope Benedict, who was like Bro, I don't. I don't want to do this anymore. I'm out.
107
Jeezy: Well, Benedict was like, yeah, y'all had it.
108
Manny: Headaches. Man, I'm y'all worry me.
109
Manny: I'm tired.
110
Manny: know. And the big, interesting thing that I saw like this week and talking about it. People are like. Oh, well, you know, Pope Francis has maybe, like half of that amount of people that Pope, that a sitting Pope in office had the last time that happened, and when, like the news reporter said that I was like, that's a real awkward way to say to say that
111
Manny: because obviously Pope Benedict stepped down, and the last Pope before it was Pope John Paul Ii.
112
Manny: But Pope John Paul Ii. Was Pope forever. 2 people who were public leaders who were just in the public eye forever Pope John Paul Ii. And the Queen.
113
Manny: So
114
Manny: if if you ask like, from your your last point in terms of you know. How does he rank over popes in our lifetime? Well, there's only 3.
115
Manny: There's only 3. So you got Pope John Paul. You got Pope Benedict. You got Pope Francis, you know.
116
Manny: I don't know how I would rank them at this point. I haven't committed that much thought around it.
117
Manny: Yeah, but
118
Manny: you know, I think when Pope John Paul Ii. Within the wake of all the sexual abuse, scandals and whatnot, Pope Francis was really trying to, he had to clean up a lot of this.
119
Manny: Yeah, so and then opening the doors of the church to wider and broader, broader audiences.
120
Manny: So it'll be interesting to see where the cardinals go next.
121
Jeezy: Well, you know one thing that you said that in looking over the influence and the legacy of Pope Francis.
122
Jeezy: I saw a quote that he stated when it came to social justice and global advocacy, and really, specifically to poverty and inequality. He said that poverty was the scandal the world has forgotten, and I thought that was very interesting of a point for him to make, and why he had such a
123
Jeezy: he took took on the responsibility of really trying to elevate the needs of the poor, because he understood. And I just thought that was a really great way to put it that I think most, if not all global and world leaders should look at that. Poverty is that way.
124
Jeezy: It is a scandal that the world is often forgot about, and even down to just his, when it came to refugees, refugees, and migration, that he was such a strong advocate for just humane treatment on migrants and refugees, urging countries to welcome and support them as part of our Christian duty, and I thought that was very important, because.
125
Jeezy: though to be a Christian, I often think. Sometimes it's odd to hear how we treat the treat refugees and treat immigrants.
126
Jeezy: but then we we call ourselves Christians, and I think this hear him say that you know the way that we treat them is A is A is a Christian duty, I thought was very, very spot on. I think it was a truth, a hard truth, that I think a lot of people who claim to be of the Christian faith often forget the duty of how we treat our fellow man. And lastly.
127
Jeezy: you said something about, you know, a lot of this scandal and a lot of things he had to clean up. And you know one thing about the
128
Jeezy: There, there was a lot of reporting and a lot of instances of sexual abuse. Yeah, that took place. And one thing that I applaud
129
Jeezy: Pope Francis on, and while some may criticize him as not moving as fast as he should, or maybe inconsistent in this in this matter. He did acknowledge the fact that there was abuse, and he condemned that abuse, and he went on to try to implement some Vatican procedures to create some accountability for these situations.
130
Manny: And is there ever going to be there? There's never going to be a perfect response.
131
Jeezy: And I.
132
Manny: When you're talking about a organization. If you look at the Catholic Church as a whole, what? 1.8 billion people?
133
Manny: Yeah, like.
134
Jeezy: You're not just.
135
Manny: You're not going to make everyone happy. You're yeah, you know. You're never going to move fast enough, or you're going to move too fast.
136
Jeezy: Yeah, I completely agree. And with a topic that is so sensitive you almost can't find yourself on the right side of it, at any at any pace. And lastly, I just like the fact of his, his influence, and trying to create interfaith dialogue to what you pointed out, I often believe that though we can be of different faiths, that does not mean that we can't
137
Jeezy: come together, we can't be one accord at least, of caring about something. You know there, there are multiple phase when you think of the the Muslims and the Jews, and different Christian denominations, though there may be some differences there there has to be at least one thing that we all find in common right.
138
Jeezy: And while we may be different, that one thing that we may have in common should be able to bring us together for the betterment of not just my faith, your faith, others, faith, but just for the world in general. So for Pope Francis to be an advocate for that, and to try to engineer and manufacture that type of
139
Jeezy: dialogue between the faiths. I commend him for that.
140
Manny: Because it's not easy.
141
Jeezy: Is not a it's not easy.
142
Jeezy: My God.
143
Manny: You're talking. You're talking about faith, you're people's true core, moral.
144
Jeezy: Yes.
145
Manny: And stuff here. It's not easy.
146
Jeezy: And man. We've talked about it before, you know. We can look back and and see that you know certain faith, we can see that that there's deep rooted.
147
Jeezy: That is generational, and that, you know, can can blind those of trying to have these conversations to promote the betterment for their people. So I applaud him for that. But I think, Manny, that when we go forward and we know that in the in the coming days conclave will be coming up, shout out to the cues.
148
Manny: I mean that.
149
Manny: So I've had.
150
Jeezy: Time I've ever heard about a conclave, was the cubes where they have their little national convention.
151
Manny: I mean, I mean, I asked my father. I asked my father-in-law. I'm like, Hey you, when when you flying out to Italy, man.
152
Manny: yeah, yeah, I didn't know y'all had a vote in the Pope. Y'all ain't the 1st like how y'all how y'all get.
153
Manny: Hi! Y'all.
154
Jeezy: We should be doing that. But anyway, you know, the conclave will be coming up with the old
155
Jeezy: select a new Pope
156
Jeezy: and you know, I thought about with all the things that cause, because I'm I'm learning a lot of this in the in the wake of his death, and I'm I'm learning for the sake of the potting, and just for my general knowledge of myself.
157
Jeezy: how these things play out, and you know, when, when they run down the list of potentials. It makes you think that there is a it's kind of like like with our Presidents, you know.
158
Jeezy: Will the legacy and the work that he has tried to carry out. Will it be carried on? Because I realize that there's some popes that have different views and some are more conservative, some are more liberal, which I'm still trying to process, that as as the Pope being the the spiritual leader.
159
Jeezy: I don't understand the conservative and liberal aspect of it. But certain popes have certain viewpoints on certain things, and there are some popes that felt like Pope Francis was a little too far left, and they need to get him back back in the middle. Some want to take it all the way to the right.
160
Manny: Well, and I mean, it's just like it's from. At this point. I think you also have to start looking at it, not necessarily as a as a faith. But this is an election. There.
161
Jeezy: Look.
162
Manny: There are votes casting now. I also find it mighty interesting that the Catholic Church says, Hey, man, if you over the age of 80. Brother, y'all not doing this.
163
Manny: but but but before we get talking about the new Pope, cause we can get some of these jokes off.
164
Manny: Geez!
165
Manny: I got a question for you.
166
Jeezy: -Oh.
167
Manny: Looking at everything that happened leading up to it
168
Manny: 1st off hit my theme. Music.
169
Jeezy: Oh!
170
Manny: No!
171
Jeezy: Very dirty.
172
Manny: See, that was that might have been lower. Be like, Hey.
173
Jeezy: Pope Francis he up there in Wisconsin. I know. I know. I know y'all get to be in the gympho.
174
Manny: But what did JD. Say
175
Manny: in that beating that caused the Pope to say, you know what.
176
Jeezy: I got you, brother.
177
Manny: He said. You know what I can't pray about this. I need to go talk to the man. I need to go talk to. Hr. One on one.
178
Jeezy: Some things, something you just can't pray about, some things. You just gotta go to God directly.
179
Manny: Just got. I just got to go straight to the office and talk.
180
Jeezy: I gotta go see him face to face, and I got to talk to him about this matter.
181
Manny: Because this isn't this. That was the 1st of 2 run-ins that Jd. Vance had, because apparently he was over in India and with him leaving India. Now we have these new reports that Pakistan and India about to go to war. Jd, what did you do? No, no. Stop meeting, or maybe, or maybe
182
Manny: it's time for you to go meet some other people.
183
Jeezy: Bruh.
184
Manny: Is Jd. Going to be leading an envoy to.
185
Jeezy: Hey!
186
Manny: See the Supreme ruler of Iran.
187
Jeezy: Hey? Could it? Could it be that we worried so much about Donald Trump and Elon Musk were really the villain.
188
Manny: The villain was Jd. We're about to find out.
189
Jeezy: But
190
Manny: Getting back to serious seriousness. Yeah, the conclave is an election. So.
191
Jeezy: That's wild to me. Bro. I.
192
Manny: Yeah.
193
Jeezy: Like I get it electing a Pope. But I think the thing that I'm trying to have a I have a hard time of grasping is
194
Jeezy: the difference in
195
Jeezy: in the Pope, like the conservative and liberalness of popes when when they're the spiritual god, you would think that if they all follow the same.
196
Jeezy: like the same word, then.
197
Manny: Book is the book.
198
Jeezy: The book is the book. But then I read like I guess it's up to the Pope for interpretation, and I'm like, Well, that sounds like that could get real dang.
199
Jeezy: If I if I am a let's say of the liberal approach, then I may interpret it this way. Well, if I'm of the conservative approach that I may perceive it this way and then. Now I'm that that perception is influencing 1.3 1.8 billion Catholics. That is
200
Jeezy: to me.
201
Manny: Wild.
202
Jeezy: It sounds political, and I'm like I can't. I guess I can't grasp my head how you're the spiritual god. But this sounds real political. So it's like.
203
Jeezy: I ain't think those 2 things oppose the mix.
204
Manny: But here we are. Then, like, it's it's real interesting. So I also started looking at what? What were the official requirements to be? Pope.
205
Jeezy: Okay.
206
Manny: And there are 3 must be male.
207
Jeezy: Okay.
208
Manny: Must be baptized in the Catholic faith. Okay, so you.
209
Manny: And then, theoretically, any baptized Catholic male is eligible.
210
Manny: However, if a so, you you don't even have to be a cardinal, but some of the usually almost every every time it is.
211
Jeezy: Is.
212
Manny: It's a cardinal, it's it's somebody that the previous Pope appointed.
213
Jeezy: Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
214
Jeezy: So I think when you look at all the people who are going to be casting votes this time, I think it's about 120 cardinals will be casting votes. Hold on.
215
Jeezy: I think that the only people that can vote you have to be at least 80 years old, right.
216
Manny: No, no, no! I think that. So. I think.
217
Jeezy: Cut off is 80.
218
Manny: The cutoff is 80. The youngest cardinal in there is 45.
219
Jeezy: Okay.
220
Manny: And but if you're over 80, like till which leads me America.
221
Manny: maybe we should think about this Ming.
222
Jeezy: It obviously has a problem. Why can't we? Why why don't we.
223
Manny: But
224
Manny: I think it's going to be real interesting, because you know, right now, everyone's putting together their lists, or who, I think is going to be the Pope.
225
Jeezy: But I've seen that people like Legit like doing bed nods and like, Oh, yeah.
226
Jeezy: put money on it. Bro. Oh, brother.
227
Manny: I've been watching these roll in, and I'm like, Oh, this is. This is getting kind of interesting. But to my understanding at this standpoint. If you look at the last 2 conclaves.
228
Manny: Pope Francis and Pope Benedict weren't on that list.
229
Jeezy: Really.
230
Manny: Yeah, they came. They were.
231
Jeezy: To bid nod. They won't even.
232
Manny: Even favored stepping into it like not even.
233
Jeezy: They weren't even in.
234
Manny: Odd. So it's just like it.
235
Manny: Anything could happen in one of these, and, Hello, hold on.
236
Jeezy: So. So if you're telling me that any that anything can happen.
237
Manny: Anything could happen?
238
Jeezy: If if that's the case, then
239
Jeezy: will we have our 1st black poop.
240
Manny: Look there on the betting odds. There! There are 2 popes from Africa who are on that list.
241
Jeezy: -Oh.
242
Manny: So boy.
243
Jeezy: Bro. We might be getting our 1st Nope.
244
Manny: Oh!
245
Jeezy: I'll let y'all read Tweet the lines. What note means?
246
Jeezy: We might get our 1st note.
247
Jeezy: Get our 1st one, boy. Let's go.
248
Jeezy: Let's go, hey?
249
Jeezy: Right I seen on the list, man. But see, that's what worries me, because, see, the bed knives are saying that old Buddy Pietro, who's the Vatican, Secretary of State. He's been there since 2013. They're saying that he got the bed knives, and he was. He was Pope Francis, boy, you know what I mean. So.
250
Manny: Yep.
251
Jeezy: But if you're saying that the last 2 weren't even on the list who.
252
Manny: Anything could happen, because again, when they start voting, they put them, they lock them in a room and say, y'all figure this out.
253
Manny: So
254
Manny: how long do you think this process is going to go before they find a new Pope? Because I know we got to wait for the white smoke
255
Manny: we. So we got to wait for the white snow smoke. Every time they vote they take the ballots, they burn it. If it's black smoke
256
Manny: they don't have. No one has the two-thirds. If it's white smoke, there's a new spoke. There's a new Pope.
257
Manny: and it's my understanding.
258
Jeezy: I'm about to say, when what's the longest? It's taken for them to select a new Pope like, how many days did we see black smoke before we saw white.
259
Manny: Bro. I I don't know.
260
Manny: I don't know, but the a couple of things that I do know is that apparently they only it's a free for all. Yes.
261
Manny: So
262
Manny: up until 70 votes. If they get through 70 votes, it's no longer free for all. It's almost like, okay. Now, we have in a primary who are the top 2.
263
Jeezy: Right.
264
Manny: We, gonna we can decide through these top 2.
265
Manny: So it is.
266
Manny: it's going to be interesting like. And then to look at the distribution. 8. 40% of the cardinals are from Europe, 15 from Latin America, 13 from Africa, 12 from Asia, 1010% from North America, and
267
Manny: 2 from the Indonesia Oceanic area. The Us. Has the largest block of any single country.
268
Jeezy: So so question you said, what's the qualifications.
269
Manny: You got to be male, essentially a male and Catholic.
270
Manny: Those are the absolute minimum.
271
Jeezy: So then you telling me there's a possibility.
272
Manny: That that one of us could be the Pope.
273
Manny: I was going to say, Barent Trump.
274
Jeezy: Hello!
275
Manny: Anything, happen.
276
Jeezy: Hey? You know, hey?
277
Manny: One of the one of the quotes that I got from angels and demons was that the conclave must not be rushed. It must be inspired.
278
Jeezy: so I'm assuming there's a lot of praying. There's a lot of conversations happening with the Lord, but like who.
279
Manny: I would never want to be Pope. I look the
280
Manny: I'm in chase except for this is why I never see myself in the pulpit in any capacity whatsoever.
281
Manny: Because I don't.
282
Manny: But if you, a pastor or something, you responsible for those souls that like
283
Manny: that that are trusted, and to be that person for over a billion people.
284
Jeezy: Hey, man, not be careful.
285
Jeezy: Say no, because
286
Jeezy: you might. You might go to sleep tonight, and Pope Francis visit you in your dreams and say, brother, it's your time.
287
Manny: Pass, because I'm wake up and say, Get thee behind me, Satan.
288
Manny: Well, 1st of all, what you doing here talking to me? No.
289
Jeezy: What you doing over here?
290
Jeezy: Nope, I heard episode of part of the power.
291
Jeezy: Want to come, visit you and let you know.
292
Manny: You're next absolutely not. Pass this, lord, if if this be thy will, absolutely
293
Manny: not, absolutely not! No, no, absolutely not.
294
Jeezy: Well, I will say this before we move on to our next topic. You know it was very interesting to see, as I stated before there were over 250,000 mourners that came to the funeral that happened this past Saturday, but there was one person that was in attendance that apparently didn't get the memo, or he don't check his emails or his phone, or he just don't care.
295
Manny: We can't read.
296
Jeezy: Or can't read. That is a strong possibility at Pope Francis Funeral.
297
Jeezy: President! Trump drew significant attention and criticism for wearing a blue suit and a light blue tie
298
Jeezy: deviating from the traditional black attire expected at such events, while the Vatican dress code for the funeral required male attendees to wear dark suits with black ties and a black button on the left lapel. Trump's choice stood out among the predominantly black suited dignitaries.
299
Manny: Should have kicked him out.
300
Jeezy: Bruh.
301
Manny: They, and I'd have kicked them out.
302
Jeezy: If this was a black church they would have made him sit in the back, or he would have had to wait.
303
Manny: Them to the.
304
Jeezy: To the graveside, and he could have been there. But you weren't about to sit in this ceremony, and you know you're supposed to have your black suit on now, Trump.
305
Jeezy: Everybody know I know you're not black, but everybody.
306
Manny: Everybody, knows.
307
Jeezy: That when you go to a funeral. That's when you got to pull out the black suit, brother.
308
Manny: Right. Got you.
309
Jeezy: You came with this blue suit on.
310
Manny: Sticking out like a sore thumb.
311
Jeezy: On the front row. Even Melania had on. She, you know she ain't gonna never miss no moment. Now, Melania, be fitted up.
312
Manny: Melania saw those requirements, she said, black, cool. Let me go to the the black wing of my wardrobe and figure out which one of these I'm popping out.
313
Manny: She came through clean bro like I ain't even gonna front on Melania. She always be clean with it.
314
Jeezy: Especially in a in a mourning state.
315
Jeezy: But then, like trump, you like your wife got the right attire on.
316
Jeezy: would you just didn't pack your suit like. So of course, you know, everybody's been going crazy on social media about it, because he he did look crazy amongst everyone.
317
Manny: Wild, wild.
318
Jeezy: White House Communications Director put out a statement saying that the President and the 1st lady honored the life and service of Pope Francis, and those who try to distract them from that should be ashamed of themselves. Now I recall a time where there was a man that wore a tan suit on Easter, and you would have thought that he.
319
Manny: Committed treason. This man stole the Declaration of Independence.
320
Jeezy: On on Resurrection Sunday. You would have thought he was Judas himself, the way that the world went crazy over there. But then trump went wrong suit to the Pope thing. Y'all got to chill out. Y'all got to chill out. Y'all got to chill out. Okay.
321
Manny: Well, and that's and that's not all that happened. Apparently. Him and Zelensky had a little bit of a sit down, chat
322
Manny: and.
323
Jeezy: This ain't the time for that. Y'all.
324
Manny: Right, right.
325
Jeezy: You know how mad. Bro. One time I was at a funeral.
326
Jeezy: and and somebody that I knew had passed away.
327
Jeezy: and there was some one that I had a particular issue with, or I guess there was an issue with. Well, they decided that this was the right time to pull me aside to talk about said issue, and in my mind I was sitting there thinking, man, this ain't the time for us to be having this conversation like we Bro. We had a funeral like.
328
Manny: Right you.
329
Manny: and if you roll up on me the wrong the wrong way, we might be having a second one.
330
Jeezy: We about to reignite with what you thought we had.
331
Manny: Preacher. Don't go nowhere! Don't go nowhere.
332
Jeezy: But I'm sitting here like, why did why was this necessary like?
333
Jeezy: Could this not have been done the day after? Because you not got there a day before. Well, I don't understand.
334
Manny: Here 1st off. I agree with that wholeheartedly.
335
Manny: But also we're we're also watching the situation in in Ukraine. Because what are we currently 96 days past the deadline that trump gave himself for ending, ending the war. Yeah. And you know we we saw him go ahead. And what is what is a message on truth, social call? It's not tweet truth out.
336
Jeezy: Truly.
337
Manny: True a true. So he had. He had put out a truy
338
Manny: Vladimir. Stop! I'm like, boy! What what are you doing? Just yelling out yelling in is Vladimir Putin on truth, social.
339
Jeezy: 1st of all, thank you.
340
Jeezy: Who are you yelling at.
341
Manny: But so maybe they were trying to get through. Find that opportunity, because I know what we also saw is a French president, Emmanuel Macron.
342
Jeezy: -
343
Manny: Or is it macaron I've been calling? I've been calling this Emmanuel Emmanuel Macaroon.
344
Manny: I'm since he.
345
Manny: since he's been elected, but I'm like he came through and basically shook Zelensky's hand and was like, Hey.
346
Manny: and I was like, you know what I've seen that before, where you got to holler holler at the friend you cool with someone you don't like. Like. Hey? What's up?
347
Manny: So? Not the time, not the place. Yeah, but.
348
Jeezy: I think, also, with mounting pressure of holding a campaign promise. I think that Trump's desperate and.
349
Jeezy: Hey?
350
Jeezy: He's using whatever moment he can. But yeah, regardless, perfect.
351
Manny: Because he he put out a soft deadline, apparently, now that he he wants to end the war or get to a ceasefire in the 1st 100 days which will happen on the 30.th
352
Manny: I don't think he's gonna get there.
353
Jeezy: Think he's going to get there, either.
354
Jeezy: and yeah, that's actually a good segue into our next topic. There we go. So before we move over to. We do want to say to the life and legacy and influence of Pope Francis, the work that you have done, the decisions that you have made, while I would hope they were in the best interest of the Catholic faith.
355
Jeezy: Thank you for the service, your care for the poor, your your humane approach to society, and hopefully the next Pope will continue that.
356
Jeezy: build upon that, and take the Catholic faith to to whatever vision that you saw, and whatever vision that you are given by your faith, so.
357
Manny: And if not, just, join the sideshow that the Us. Is currently in.
358
Jeezy: Bingo.
359
Jeezy: and if the new Pope want to come and talk to the American people, you can hit us up here, partner, politics.
360
Manny: Would love to have you on. We.
361
Jeezy: Maybe.
362
Manny: The trip. We will make the trip over there.
363
Jeezy: Over there we'll sit and talk to you. So we, the boys, are gonna never miss opportunity to work. So let us.
364
Manny: Oh, yeah.
365
Jeezy: No, we do but
366
Manny: Come, check out St. Peter's Basilica.
367
Jeezy: We? I'm sure we got a listener somewhere that's in the area, so y'all y'all let y'all get the word out and spread it for us over there, but nonetheless, as many basically segwayed us into this next topic, we are coming up on
368
Jeezy: 100, the 1st 100 days of trump's administration, and it has.
369
Manny: In something.
370
Jeezy: Browse. Let's see, I do want to point out.
371
Manny: We're still here. Yeah, we're still here.
372
Jeezy: Still, for now, and from my understanding.
373
Jeezy: the the Lord Jesus Christ still sits upon the throne. So we're covered.
374
Jeezy: But now you hadn't got up and put them sandals to come on. Come down here.
375
Manny: You too.
376
Jeezy: There's still a chance.
377
Manny: It's still changing. There's still time.
378
Jeezy: But during this period some of the key actions and initiatives that trump has done is, of course, we've seen the massive amount of sharpies? Are there tariffs on those sharpies? Because.
379
Manny: Bro, there's.
380
Jeezy: They need to look into? Do we export sharpies or import sharpies.
381
Manny: That's a good question.
382
Jeezy: Where do sharpies get made?
383
Manny: We're gonna we're gonna find this out.
384
Jeezy: Because that there might be. That might be a cost to the consumer.
385
Manny: Donald Trump writes, at this rate
386
Manny: 1.4 executive orders a day.
387
Jeezy: Bro.
388
Manny: Up to this point he has a hundred 37 executive orders. It is a record. If anyone was wondering.
389
Jeezy: Bruh that is crazy.
390
Manny: He he has well created Doge.
391
Jeezy: Yeah.
392
Manny: Gutted Usaid in the Department of Education, with a couple others on on the on deck.
393
Manny: really try to bring under control of the Federal Government independent agencies like the Fcc. And the Sec. He's sparring with courts. The sparring with Congress hasn't started yet, but you know.
394
Jeezy: That's got to be. Next, I would assume.
395
Manny: Oh, most definitely. What immigration! Dear God! That.
396
Jeezy: That has been
397
Jeezy: while work has been done, and it and and some would say in view that he has upheld his campaign promise, I think it has come
398
Jeezy: with a bit of well, certainly public scrutiny, but I believe definitely some mixed reviews on the approach and the aspect of how this is played out in being what I guess some would call effective. I don't think that I don't think it has been effective when we see the mass amount of mess ups.
399
Manny: I mean.
400
Jeezy: That has has taken taken call, taken on.
401
Manny: But it's been the only thing that's gone
402
Manny: close to. According to his plan.
403
Jeezy: Yeah. But then, again, how? How? But after that's done?
404
Jeezy: What's that song? After the love is going, the immigrants are gone.
405
Manny: Wow!
406
Jeezy: Then what cause, if this is the only thing we can point at is being successful
407
Jeezy: when that is gone.
408
Jeezy: and handle, because at at the rate y'all y'all deporting people at this point y'all go ahead and start tapping into actual homegrown citizens by July, at the rate y'all are going.
409
Manny: Well and like it's not even at this point. It's no longer just illegal immigrants. Over the over this past weekend there were 3 children who are us citizens that were deported, one of which, I believe, was dealing with cancer treatments.
410
Jeezy: Come on, Brett. No, I ain't hear that.
411
Jeezy: Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
412
Jeezy: Bro, come on, now.
413
Manny: So. Apparently the the parents were illegal immigrants, and they're like. Oh, no, Tom, said we, we wrapping them all up and sending them up out of here.
414
Manny: That's and that's what I'm talking about. When when I was saying in a previous segment about the Pope, and how, when it comes to migrants and refugees like Bro. There got to be some humane approach to that, because, come on.
415
Jeezy: Like I I
416
Jeezy: I ain't even gonna get started on that. But I mean, that can only be the only aspect that can be viewed as going according to plan. But I think recently, since we're approaching the 100 Days, his approval numbers came out.
417
Jeezy: and for his 1st 100 days. His approval numbers are historically low. According to Gallup, his approval rating stands at 42%, and I believe that out of the past
418
Jeezy: 5 Presidents. This is the lowest I.
419
Manny: That. And I think he's on that list twice, because I think he I think on his 1st term he might have been at like, 45%,
420
Manny: yeah.
421
Jeezy: 1st 100 days
422
Manny: Well, and even spinning on that Cnn. Did a poll, you know, if we looked at
423
Manny: the approval rating with women. In February is at 44%. Now, it's sitting at 36% with independence. It was at 43%, which is already bad.
424
Jeezy: Yeah, yeah.
425
Manny: But 43%. Now it's sitting at 31. And here's a shocking one. I know this one is really going to shock you with Hispanics. The approval was at 41%.
426
Manny: And now it's at 28%.
427
Jeezy: Oh, I thought, y'all see, that's what I'm confused. I thought y'all were rolling with Donald trump.
428
Jeezy: Y'all. But look! That's the thing that's weird to me when I see these numbers is because
429
Jeezy: the exact thing that he said he was going to do.
430
Manny: He's doing the thing.
431
Jeezy: Then. Now I get confused because I'm like, I don't think. And I'm not saying this to offend anybody. But I didn't think that we as Americans were this stupid, that when I believe it was Maya Angelo that told you that if somebody shows you who they are, believe them.
432
Manny: Believe them.
433
Jeezy: The man said that he was going to do these things, and then he didn't. He's doing them, and you don't approve of them. Then what did you approve of before? Right, I'm confused. I am confusion.
434
Manny: Oh, I'm going to deport all. Well, I think it is more so. A lack of thinking beyond the statement.
435
Manny: Like, okay, yeah, I'm going to deport all these illegal immigrants cool that. That is a very contained statement, ignoring all the other industries that they support here in the Us. Oh, I'm going to shrink the size of government cool. That means all these people who work in the Federal Government are going to lose their jobs.
436
Jeezy: Yeah, and I don't.
437
Manny: To raise tariffs on all these countries. Cool. That's going to send up the price of American goods like, it's almost as if a lot of people
438
Manny: didn't think past the statement didn't think past the 1st step.
439
Jeezy: Which is why I don't think that we need to be defunding the and getting rid of the Department of Education, because clearly we can't do Second Level critical thinking.
440
Manny: But clearly.
441
Jeezy: Don't need to be defunded, because that's and that's so funny that you say that because I've had conversations with people, and they're like, oh, trump is going to do this. And then I'm like, Okay, but you do know that that means that in order to do this, then you have to do this which will result in this. And then it's like.
442
Manny: No.
443
Jeezy: I did not like what.
444
Manny: Can't have it both ways.
445
Manny: The same Burger King.
446
Jeezy: This is not how this this is, not how this works. It's it's like
447
Jeezy: I don't get. I don't get it. And then I've read in a report that while his approval rating is at like 42%, he still has 96%. So he still is at 96% as far as his base support. So even in that aspect, is like.
448
Jeezy: y'all don't approve. But I still support. I don't.
449
Manny: Because things haven't gotten real yet, and I think that's the reality of it. Things we we the target, your local target, Walmart Macy's our home depot. Lowe's like
450
Manny: stuff is still on the shelf. We haven't seen giant pricing swings. The only people that I would say at this point have started to really feel the reality of what's happening. And the decisions that this administration is are making are people with money in the stock market.
451
Jeezy: Hmm.
452
Manny: To to watch the ebbs and flows and.
453
Jeezy: Easier.
454
Manny: 10% in a single day, or having to shoot back up another 8 only a couple hours later to lose another 5 like there. A lot of people aren't truly experiencing what is happening. There was a report that came out, you know, asterisk, because I've not dug fully into the into the report or really got details, but there was a saying that
455
Manny: a bunch of ships left China to sail back to the Us. Were largely empty.
456
Manny: You know. So we're starting to see issues on supply chains slowly but surely. And it takes a minute, you know. Think about when Covid happened.
457
Jeezy: -
458
Manny: After everyone bought all the toilet paper at Costco. How long it took for more toilet paper to get there.
459
Jeezy: Well, my thing is is that I mean, and maybe because I was fortunate enough to be born with common sense. But I don't need to see the tornado for me to seek shelter.
460
Manny: Bye, I saw I seen the warning signs. I believe you when you.
461
Manny: I believe the warning signs, so I don't need to say I don't need to see it.
462
Jeezy: For me to seek shelter. I don't understand why, when we think as a as well, I mean, I guess it's critical thinking. I don't understand why people don't realize that things happen because of the consequences of decisions. That's how we get to where we're at. So when I see these numbers dropping in approval.
463
Jeezy: But I still see that the support is still high.
464
Jeezy: I question that. And you're 100% right, that people just haven't seen it yet. But I believe that if this administration doesn't figure out something beyond these 100 days, certainly by summertime.
465
Jeezy: winter is coming, man, let me tell you
466
Jeezy: you it's going to get real sticky out in these streets. I already feel like it is. I know I shared this to you before, and I forgot to tell you before we did the pod. I live in it for those of you, our listeners, who don't know I live in a very rural area. And so a lot of the people that I live around are trump supporters, and there are certain houses that I know when I drive by. They are. They are very extra with the trump flags, and
467
Jeezy: I remember the day that trump won one house in particular that's not too far from me. Had a big old flag flying high in the sky. Trump 2020. I can't remember what it said. Trump 2025. We did it. Now go, save America, and I mean it was there all over.
468
Manny: Which America.
469
Jeezy: Yeah, I don't know.
470
Jeezy: There must be the one that's on fortnite or something. There must be a fantasy.
471
Jeezy: Know what y'all are talking about. But lately.
472
Manny: In, my drive around.
473
Jeezy: I have started to notice. These trump flags are coming down.
474
Jeezy: And one house in particular. Today I saw driving home
475
Jeezy: that this guy had. I remember when Trump won he had, I swear this dude had 20 yard signs, 2 flags, I mean crazy.
476
Manny: Well, that's wild.
477
Jeezy: Not not a people trump insight anymore.
478
Jeezy: He has replaced the trump flag with a North Carolina State flag same as another one, and then the one that had the big huge flag. He ain't got nothing on the poll no more. So I would say to myself, Okay, now I'm starting to see flags come down and either be replaced or not replaced with anything at all. And then I look up Gallup's number and I see 42%. I'm sitting here like, okay, maybe it's clicking for some people.
479
Jeezy: you know, some people maybe are starting to realize it. But I think that. And of course Trump is going to spend this way. I'm sure he's going to.
480
Jeezy: Oh, absolutely!
481
Jeezy: And Gallo's wrong, because he and that's the thing that kills me about him and his supporters. Is that all? Because he says it is true.
482
Manny: True.
483
Jeezy: Get up there and say, Well, see, I see the poll number that said I was sitting at 67%, which 1st of all, 67% is Wow.
484
Jeezy: but.
485
Manny: Thank you, Newsmax, for doing that, poll like.
486
Manny: let me ask people that I that like me.
487
Jeezy: Yup! Yup!
488
Manny: How you feel about me.
489
Jeezy: Yep. And so we already know that these poll numbers are gonna he. He loves his approval numbers, but when they start dwindling I just wonder what is going to be the angle at this point, because, again, the only thing that we can say these 1st 100 days that he's successfully
490
Jeezy: done, if you want to call it success is his approach to deportation, but that still does not impact the lives of everyday Americans to the point of driving our grocery prices down.
491
Jeezy: Putting more money in our pockets. We still don't have a plan of what he's going to do for the for homeowners, and.
492
Manny: Interest rates are still still high.
493
Jeezy: Yep, still high. Jerome ain't budging and ain't gonna budge because you keep throwing tears here and there. What happens when
494
Jeezy: the supplies that these companies have run out. And now these tariffs that you keep implementing are now in real time effect. And you know somebody is building a home, or doing this, or Walmart's having this, and we know the summer's coming in. Now these prices have jumped to this, and you know, I think, that he has to. He has to figure this thing out. And I think that after these 100 days I think he's really starting to see. Like, okay.
495
Jeezy: I got to start doing something, because at the end of the day I don't see anything that he can do, or that he's trying to do right now, that's gonna stop this 42% from being lowered. The next time we see that number again.
496
Manny: Well, and I think we, the a couple of questions that are sitting out there
497
Manny: are going to be a how. How do we're getting ready to start being in campaign season.
498
Manny: So
499
Manny: you know, Republicans, especially Republicans who are up for election. How are you guys going to start acting? We already see, pushes from Tom Tillis, from Rand Paul to try to retake over tariff control back to Congress. And I think that's what we'll start seeing. And then the other question is, how are Democrats going to respond?
500
Manny: Because I believe right now, Cory Booker and another House member are staging a sit-in in Congress.
501
Jeezy: Oh, my God!
502
Manny: You know. How are they preparing for for this? Because it provides them an opportunity.
503
Manny: But will they squander the opportunity?
504
Manny: And I believe the answer is, Yes, I think some will succeed, but by and large I think
505
Manny: it will fail.
506
Jeezy: Whatever success I feel like would potentially come for the Democrats in the election season, I think, ultimately will fall underneath the bar of where they could have been
507
Jeezy: had they been more strategic, more real about the approach and had more unity in how they were going to tackle the issue. Cory Booker did what he did, talking on the floor. Nobody's talking about it, nobody cares anymore, sitting going on. I didn't even know it was going on, because, quite frankly.
508
Manny: Bro. I saw it on Tiktok.
509
Jeezy: Even care that it's going on because it ain't gonna solve any issue. It's not doing anything. So you can miss. I've said it before you miss me with the performers. Y'all need to get behind closed doors and get a real plan. Now, I don't know what the plan is. I know Bernie Sanders been out here working these streets
510
Jeezy: have an A/C been going ham.
511
Jeezy: They talking, they get in front of people and talking. They're not performing while while it may fall on deaf ears, and while they may not be successful.
512
Jeezy: I like the fact that they're out traveling talking to the American people.
513
Manny: See. And this and this is where I'm torn on that, because
514
Manny: I think rallies are good for energy. But you're not actually doing anything.
515
Jeezy: Mean you're not.
516
Manny: Like, how are you? We're getting ready this week to start. Talking about very large budgetary items. How are we going to navigate that.
517
Manny: you know Trump's gonna get a lot of what
518
Manny: he wants in that because he has control. So how do you push back on that?
519
Manny: You know? How do you? How do you moderate out some of these extremists, extremist group and people? I think people are going to yell and complain like, Oh, well, don't give an inch
520
Manny: cool. You cannot give an action. They're just going to steamroll by you, or you can come in here and cut a deal and try to dampen the effect, you know. And the focus, I believe, with Cory Booker is out there talking about at this point is around Medicaid and potential efforts to gut it this week.
521
Manny: So I'm not saying his stuff is nothing, but missed me with the performance.
522
Jeezy: To me is nothing when there is no plan of how we're going to go about it. And when I look at what Aoc and Bernie are doing, which? Why, I'm more of a support of that is because there's no need for me to stay in the house while it's burning. I might as well go outside and
523
Jeezy: figure some things out. So to me, I mean, they're not getting anything done in the house period. So why am I going to stay in here, and y'all are just worried about being performative? Y'all are just worried about carrying all these acts, but nobody is trying to really do anything to get anything done.
524
Manny: Well, Jeezy, hear me out for a second.
525
Jeezy: Okay.
526
Manny: Boy.
527
Manny: I know people are mad at Chuck Schumer. I think Aoc might be out here on the road getting ready to primary Mr. Schumer
528
Manny: for his his seat in a little bit, because he ran in 20, I believe.
529
Manny: Yep, he ran in 20, so he'll he'll be up in 26.
530
Jeezy: Bruh, and I think that with the push that she's been getting, because they've been the way they've been kind of broadcasting what she was doing, you would almost think she's running for President.
531
Jeezy: I think I think she coming for that head.
532
Jeezy: And I think that she got a very well. We talked about on a previous episode. I think she got a good shot. Bro.
533
Manny: Check my check. My need be need to be a little bit concerned.
534
Jeezy: He might people with them glasses. All you want to, brother, you better have your plan because Aoc coming for you, and I'm going to tell you.
535
Manny: Throw that throat, the throat, meat.
536
Jeezy: These young, these young people
537
Jeezy: are are growing. They're getting involved in politics. And when you got someone like her that is energetic, can and can.
538
Manny: Relate.
539
Jeezy: And can relate.
540
Manny: Late.
541
Jeezy: You know she come from the Bronx. She come from from humble beginnings, you know, just off of sheer delivery what.
542
Manny: And people forget like that's how Trump got here.
543
Jeezy: Yep.
544
Manny: Because he related to this block of people. Yep.
545
Manny: and that block of people took over the Republican party. And here we are today.
546
Jeezy: Nobody trying to hear. Oh, Ebenezer Scrooge! Talking about problems with plans and stuff, man! No.
547
Manny: Why you and your Kente cloth struggling to stand back up.
548
Jeezy: No.
549
Manny: Saying, Wakanda forever.
550
Jeezy: So I just got a feeling, man that they in they in a bind. But
551
Jeezy: with trump's 100 days I don't think that they've been successful.
552
Jeezy: If I had to give it a grade I'd give it probably a C plus at best.
553
Manny: See, I dual graded. I give him I give him a
554
Manny: F because I I'm not liking most of these things.
555
Jeezy: This is.
556
Manny: Failure.
557
Jeezy: But if I look at the raw execution, yeah.
558
Manny: I think the only team, the only person on his team that is producing.
559
Jeezy: Is Tom and R. Of K.
560
Manny: Is doing something, and I'll hit that one.
561
Jeezy: Rfk. Always he. I'm with him 2 steps, and then he do something that I got to take that.
562
Manny: Right.
563
Jeezy: 3 steps back.
564
Jeezy: Bro. Like, come on, man.
565
Manny: And I'm like, okay, okay.
566
Jeezy: Hey? I can rock with this
567
Jeezy: rock with you. And then, next thing you know, it's like, all right.
568
Jeezy: That would be.
569
Jeezy: I don't think that those are the only 2 that I feel like, and and we might have to give a little bit of shout out to what's his name? Bissett?
570
Manny: Oh, the Treasury!
571
Jeezy: We got to go.
572
Jeezy: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
573
Jeezy: old boy, up out of here and he ain't. He ain't backing down to elon. So no, we we gotta get him some love.
574
Manny: Okay. So 3 of however, many.
575
Jeezy: 3.
576
Manny: So.
577
Jeezy: Everybody else ain't. I don't know what they got going on between cash bondi kristi noem playing cosplay.
578
Manny: Actually. No, no, we're forgetting about Ruby Man. He got Rubio out here.
579
Jeezy: Embassy right.
580
Manny: Globetrotter and trying to put out fire, so I give him at least a C minus.
581
Jeezy: Rubio be doing some things? Sometimes I'd be kind of scratching my head like I what's your approach to? Because you you got some stuff that don't sound right to me, either. That you know, so we'll see. But I think that I'd be interested to see in the next 100 days, where where this administration will be, and where ultimately the American people will will approve of the job that they've done so.
582
Manny: But I hold on. I think we would be completely remiss because we had. I'm trying to find it right now. We had a major moment over the last 48 h, where Donald Trump said something.
583
Jeezy: -Oh.
584
Manny: To which, in this administration he has not said
585
Manny: anything that I fully agree with.
586
Manny: 10,000%, and he did that.
587
Manny: When he dropped he dropped a truthy.
588
Jeezy: Okay.
589
Manny: And said, What is wrong with Nfl. Owners? Are they stupid? Deion Sanders was a great college football player.
590
Manny: and was even greater in the Nfl. He is also a very good coach, streetwise and smart, therefore.
591
Manny: you know, get through it when they say they're.
592
Manny: Therefore, therefore Shador, his quarterback son, has phenomenal genes.
593
Manny: It is all set for greatness.
594
Manny: He should be picked immediately by a team that wants to win.
595
Manny: And I saw that. And I said, you know what trump
596
Manny: you right on this one. I can't find an issue with this statement.
597
Jeezy: I agree with it when I 1st read it.
598
Jeezy: then the second time I read it, it didn't feel the same.
599
Jeezy: Felt like I felt like I was standing beside one of those white slave owners at a slave auction.
600
Jeezy: and I made a bid on somebody, and he was like Whoa! But what's wrong with you? Why, you ain't bid on him. That's the one you need to pick. Got good genes come from a good daddy.
601
Manny: Oh, I didn't think oh.
602
Jeezy: Row back.
603
Manny: Oh!
604
Jeezy: So when he said jeans, I was like, Wait a minute, Bro. Like trump, like.
605
Manny: And it's all caps in all caps.
606
Manny: Oh, yeah.
607
Jeezy: You got too excited talking about that like.
608
Manny: Dang it, Don! I thought you had a 1st time.
609
Manny: But that second time.
610
Jeezy: I read, I read that real low key, awesome slave owner, type stuff like, hold on, what kind of tone did you really have?
611
Jeezy: Yeah, did this? I didn't in the room. And here
612
Jeezy: you say, this physically, because it kind of came off a little a little auction blockish.
613
Manny: Well, look if we're going to be honest about the Nfl draft.
614
Jeezy: I mean, it is modern day slavery. But that's another topic for another day.
615
Jeezy: That's another type of hey?
616
Jeezy: Cause? Yeah, we go talk about that. A little later, at the end of the day.
617
Manny: Oh, man, but yeah.
618
Jeezy: That is our coverage of
619
Jeezy: Trump's 100 days, and we are at that point in our episode where you guessed it. We are at the pickle
620
Jeezy: of the week.
621
Jeezy: But we're changing up our intro this week because
622
Jeezy: I have 2 pickles. I have 2 pickles. I have 2 pickles today, hey? Hey? 2 pickles today, heyday.
623
Manny: -Oh! 2 pickles.
624
Jeezy: 2 pickles a day.
625
Manny: -Oh!
626
Manny: Who's sharing? Who's sharing the Brian this week?
627
Jeezy: So the 1st one is going to be Milwaukee County Circuit, judge Hannah Dugan.
628
Jeezy: Miss Dugan was arrested this past week by the FBI.
629
Jeezy: On charges of obstructing obstruction of justice, and concealing an individual
630
Jeezy: to prevent arrest. Now, when I 1st saw this, I was like Bro. This sounds kind of wild like. What did she do like? It couldn't have been that crazy
631
Jeezy: she did something out of a movie Bro
632
Jeezy: home girl they tried to arrest on the 18th
633
Jeezy: there was an individual named Eduardo Flores Ruiz, an undocumented immigrant facing domestic violence charges, and he was about to be arrested in the by ice agents in the courthouse. So, according to these Federal agencies, the judge confronted the agents, questioning the validity of their warrant, and in doing so, she gave Ruiz access to like a like a restricted area, so that he could basically
634
Jeezy: out of the courthouse while she healed.
635
Jeezy: Why, she held him up.
636
Manny: Track them. You you leave through the face.
637
Jeezy: Only for him to get caught later on. They were like, you know what you was doing, Bro.
638
Jeezy: like I get it.
639
Jeezy: I get it.
640
Jeezy: You may not agree with the process of this whole deportation thing deportation thing, and we've talked about it before. How it's been. It's just been a cluster.
641
Manny: Yeah.
642
Jeezy: But, ma'am, if I'm I'm just saying this, and
643
Jeezy: I just ask that our listeners hear my heart.
644
Jeezy: But if it comes down to saving myself or saving you from ice.
645
Jeezy: I want you to understand that every day of the week I'm going to choose myself.
646
Jeezy: This woman threw away her about. Maybe through her way her career has been locked up and faced, charges all for trying to
647
Jeezy: help undocumented immigrant evade ice, which I want us to understand in this whole deportation thing.
648
Jeezy: He's undocumented, and he has charges.
649
Manny: Well, so here's my only point in the charges
650
Manny: at this point. He has just been accused of a crime.
651
Jeezy: That that is very true.
652
Manny: He's just been accused.
653
Jeezy: Take the charge. Let's take the charge away. He's still undocumented.
654
Manny: Yeah, I mean.
655
Jeezy: He's still undocumented.
656
Jeezy: So is ice within the rights to detain him.
657
Manny: I believe so like.
658
Jeezy: So I wouldn't throw myself down on that, on that, on that sword
659
Jeezy: for the sake of this now, unless that was somebody she knew, and it was a love affair. That's the only
660
Jeezy: -oh!
661
Jeezy: -Oh! There's a little black twist.
662
Jeezy: but yeah, that was a lot. So she's been arrested. I think there was some some pushback on social media about how this whole thing transpired, because I guess they released
663
Jeezy: like the FBI posted like some information about her or posted her mug.
664
Jeezy: Yeah.
665
Jeezy: Said it was just kind of just real unprofessional of the handling of.
666
Manny: Well, now, there, I think in the aftermath of it, it's it's very much like, Oh, we're gonna we're going to go ahead and make a an example out of this situation.
667
Manny: But yeah, like girl Hannah, you.
668
Jeezy: It won't worth the hand.
669
Manny: You. You did so, and then I've read part of the the criminal complaint.
670
Manny: He apparently beat the crap out of somebody.
671
Jeezy: Oh, for real!
672
Manny: Yeah, yeah, like.
673
Jeezy: Want no simple like like. Oh, they got into argument, and he pushed her.
674
Manny: like he. Apparently he was, into a fight with his roommate, as I understand it, and then, like a woman, came in to stop it, and he thumped her on the head. And I was like, Hold on.
675
Manny: yeah, 1st of all.
676
Jeezy: You thumping somebody on the head in 2025 sounds crazy.
677
Manny: Why?
678
Jeezy: Right.
679
Manny: So it sounds like like if you told me.
680
Jeezy: Yeah.
681
Manny: If I say, Hey, we're going to deport illegal immigrants. But we are going to deport people who are violent in nature, like, I think by and large. Most people are going to agree with that statement.
682
Jeezy: Yeah.
683
Manny: And this kind of fits the mold. I think we're looking at a completely different situation. If we're looking at a family court situation.
684
Jeezy: -
685
Manny: Or it, or it was a meaningless, meaningless like. He's here for jaywalking. Oh, he was driving with expired tags like.
686
Jeezy: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
687
Manny: Y'all doing here, but like but again, I want to draw the line. They have to be.
688
Jeezy: Line drawn.
689
Manny: Has to be.
690
Jeezy: Yeah.
691
Manny: If we are going, are we innocent till proven guilty?
692
Jeezy: Yeah, are guilty. And to prove it is right.
693
Manny: Because all this could be thrown out. And he's not a criminal. And okay, this is not under the targets we're looking at. So it looks like you're grabbing someone pre-conviction.
694
Jeezy: And and see. That's a good point, Manny, because then that to me that question, what is the criteria you're going out to get people. Were you after him because he was undocumented? And he just so happened to be in court? Or are you looking at people that are undocumented, and have a pending charge, because, see, that's wrong.
695
Manny: Well, and I think that I think, was the latter. I think they're like, Oh, oh, you you're undocumented, and you have a court case cool. This should be a real, easy.
696
Jeezy: Real easy grab. Pick me up.
697
Jeezy: That's crazy. Bro, so nonetheless, hey?
698
Manny: And Brian.
699
Jeezy: Hannah, you might not, you might not want. Don't do that again.
700
Jeezy: I would just say, I know that you are the you are. You are the legal counsel. But let the boys here at the pie give you some legal counsel. Don't you do that.
701
Manny: Don't do that. Don't do that. I would advise against it. I would advise against it.
702
Jeezy: Right, and my my second pickle
703
Jeezy: is former Us. Representative George Santos.
704
Jeezy: George Santos, on April 25, th was sentenced to 87 months in Federal prison.
705
Jeezy: And for our listeners, for you, who may not know how long 87 months are. If you divide by 12, carry the 6, and you add the 3 that's over 7 years. He was pled guilty now. He pleaded guilty to wire fraud and aggravated identity. Theft
706
Jeezy: sentencing took place in New York, and while 1st of all, Santos is 36 years old, which I thought he was a little older than that. But he's.
707
Manny: Really.
708
Jeezy: 6
709
Jeezy: He admitted to a series of fraudulent activity during his 2022 Congressional campaign.
710
Jeezy: which included deceiving donors, misusing campaign funds for personal expenses, such as luxury, goods, and travel and stealing identities, to make unauthorized contributions. He also fraudulently applied for unemployment benefits while employed and running for Congress. So if he gets 7 years, and how long should Adam of Adams get
711
Jeezy: but anyway? So
712
Jeezy: this was in Central Islip in New York. So I mean, hey, I think, never mind. I'm gonna say out of Adams I'm gonna leave you alone. But George has said that if he has to go to prison, which appears that he will. I believe he has to turn himself in July the 25, th so at least she'll enjoy.
713
Jeezy: The Independence Day before your independence is taken. For 7 years.
714
Manny: He still might get pardon. We, you know.
715
Jeezy: Vegan, part.
716
Manny: Yeah.
717
Jeezy: He ain't getting part.
718
Jeezy: He has said that if he has to go to Federal jail, which it looks like, he will that he will request to do it in solitary confinement to hopefully give him the chance for safety. I don't know why he feels that he'll be so unsafe in Federal Prison Club. Fed, I heard, was nice.
719
Manny: If he goes to cliff fit.
720
Jeezy: Yeah, they send him like the same like the Rikers. But.
721
Manny: Hey, boy!
722
Jeezy: Peace be to Jerry!
723
Manny: Please be the journey.
724
Jeezy: And I just want to remind people that he he was doing this while he was running for campaign, and hence why, he's not no longer in in the House of Representatives is because George just beat George.
725
Manny: A wild, dude man.
726
Jeezy: He said his mom would die to 9 11, like Bro.
727
Manny: But she like I'm here.
728
Jeezy: He said he want a drag queen. But they had the picture.
729
Jeezy: They had the picture. I almost let it slip. They had the picture of Homie dressed up in the drag. He was like, Yeah, no, that ain't me, Bro. You
730
Jeezy: those of you that know who George Santos is. He has a very distinct face. You know how you have some people you're like, oh, you look just like so and so. No.
731
Jeezy: that looked like you, said.
732
Manny: It looks like you.
733
Jeezy: Stop lying. So yeah. So George is in a pickle, because over 7 years is a long.
734
Jeezy: a long time.
735
Jeezy: He's young, he's young, so I would assume he's 36, so he'll get out what when he's about.
736
Manny: D 3.
737
Jeezy: 43.
738
Jeezy: I mean, hey? It's not it could be could have been worse.
739
Manny: Could have been worse, could have been far worse.
740
Jeezy: Those are my pickles of the week. So yeah.
741
Manny: Man.
742
Manny: Good luck to both of these individuals, and peace be the journey. Yeah.
743
Jeezy: So with that being said, we are at the conclusion of Episode 17. And, as you guys always know, at the end of our episode. We like to give you our spotlight of the week. So, Manny, what is your spotlight for the week?
744
Manny: Well, I got a couple. I'm gonna go through them quickly. Jeez you alluded to one earlier, but we had to. I had to come back here. Rfk.
745
Manny: Broken clock once about once a month. Rfk's I feel like he's good for doing something like that's not a bad idea.
746
Manny: So in his. In this past week. He made an announcement along with the FDA Commissioner, Marty Mc. Carey. And basically they've come up with a plan to phase out 8 petroleum based synthetic food dyes in the American food supply by 2026.
747
Jeezy: Okay.
748
Manny: So. And a big big piece of this is over the growing concerns of potential health risks associated with these additives.
749
Manny: And I think it's standpoint, you know. You look at Cheetos in the United States and Cheetos elsewhere those ingredient lists look vastly different. So.
750
Manny: You know that I was like good job. Rfk, now.
751
Jeezy: We can get down with it.
752
Manny: Now the flip side for him this week. He also wanted to start a registry of people who are autistic
753
Manny: and Tim like, There you go, man, and it was. It was the same day. It was the same day, and I was like, Dang.
754
Manny: So that's the 1st spotlight, so we'll see how that plays out over the next year or so. Next up there was a huge ice operation in Florida.
755
Jeezy: Hmm.
756
Manny: That over the course of 4 days arrested over 780 people.
757
Jeezy: That's wild. Bro.
758
Manny: There were some notable arrests. One was a Colombian national, convicted of homicide. There was an alleged Ms. 13 gang member for Guatemala. There was a Russian national with an interpol red notice for vehicular manslaughter.
759
Manny: And then there was also another Honduran National and suspected member of the 18th Street game.
760
Manny: So under their ice, 287 g. Authority, they were working with local law enforcement to
761
Manny: round some people up.
762
Manny: But 800 people in 4 days is wild.
763
Jeezy: That's wild. Bro.
764
Manny: That is wild.
765
Jeezy: That's a lot of people. Bro.
766
Manny: Yeah, so yeah, that's alright. We'll see how this goes and see where it gets replicated.
767
Manny: Because, you know, you know, know, the trump team loves some big numbers. So.
768
Jeezy: Well, I know we talked about it at the beginning of the before we started recording, but there was another one over the weekend where you had 100 immigrants arrested in a raid in an underground Colorado nightclub, where they had some active duty, military working. So, as we said before, the episode shout out to Tom Holman because he.
769
Manny: He? He understood the plan. He understood the plan.
770
Jeezy: Just want to tell. I just want our listeners to understand what the difference in work and performatives
771
Jeezy: and for those of you that may work a job. You know that there's a difference in when you, when when there's an employee that's working and when there's an employee that ain't working, but look like they working.
772
Manny: That man Tom is.
773
Jeezy: Time is worth.
774
Manny: Working.
775
Jeezy: You don't see him with all the performatives.
776
Jeezy: See him with all the extra stuff.
777
Manny: He ain't showing up at Ufc. He ain't going to another events this.
778
Jeezy: Just you hear about them, and you see the results.
779
Jeezy: I just want to point that out when you look at somebody like Kristi Noem.
780
Jeezy: where she got to have the full body gear on with all that makeup and all that hair, and she looked like that she done went and raided places, and she's standing there with bodyguards on the side of her and in front of cages and stuff like that. You don't see, Tom.
781
Jeezy: You don't see, Tom, that
782
Jeezy: the difference when you working cause see, when you working, you ain't got time to perform. But when you got time to perform that mean you ain't really working, you understand?
783
Manny: Time. Yep, yep.
784
Jeezy: So I just want to. While while this deportation thing has been a miss, I just want to say shout out to Tom Holman because he's he's.
785
Manny: He's working. He is working.
786
Jeezy: So, yeah, bro.
787
Manny: And then my last spotlight on a very somber note. We held this for last, just to see if we there were any other details that kind of came out.
788
Jeezy: I'm not.
789
Manny: On Saturday evening. There. There was a Filipino festival the and I'm going to mispronounce this, but I'm going to say the Lapu lapu Day Street festival in Vancouver.
790
Manny: An individual in a Suv basically drove through the crowd. And what's been described as a car ramming attack. At this point 11 people have been killed
791
Manny: and 20 people injured.
792
Manny: They do have the suspect in custody is a 30 year old man and which does have a history of significant interaction with both police and healthcare officials. Dealing with mental health.
793
Manny: So authorities have ruled out terrorism as a motive, but and believe that the suspect acted alone so definitely. Thoughts and prayers to the 31 families that have been impacted by by another mental health tragedy.
794
Jeezy: And that's just tragic man.
795
Manny: Yeah.
796
Jeezy: Hate to hear that man, you know.
797
Manny: Yeah.
798
Jeezy: I just makes me think, man, there's so much that you can try to do to prevent certain situations and certain things from happening. But
799
Jeezy: at the end of the day you just can't. You can't prevent every and anything, man, and that's just unfortunate to those.
800
Manny: When people crash out they crash out.
801
Jeezy: Yeah, man, you know, that's very true. So our thoughts and prayers go out to those families that are directly or indirectly impacted by this incident. So
802
Manny: Those are my spotlights, so hopefully your yours, and a little bit higher than mine.
803
Jeezy: Well, mine's kind of. We hit on it a little bit before. Well, 1st I want to say this for trump. There was. The administration has recently reversed the decision to terminate the visas of a hundred of hundreds of international students. We heard that Trump was planning to do this to crack down. I believe the number was like 4,700 student
804
Jeezy: visas that were over here at various university, and we know that there was this attack on particularly Harvard and some other schools that he was targeting, and this was the result of that. Well, that decision has now been reversed because of legal and public backlashing. Just another one of those things again, where trump seems to just throw crap at a wall and see if it sticks. And ultimately this is just coming at the heels of
805
Jeezy: these universities, not agreeing or being in the needs of what he wants them to do. So I just want to say, shout out to those universities, to sticking to what they believe in, and hearing out what their students want, as far as support from these universities, and not being afraid to stand up, and what they believe in, I think that that's very key. I think we're going to see more of it. We talked about it in a previous episode
806
Jeezy: about how some of these coalitions academic coalitions have been coming together to push back on certain things that they feel like are unfair, and are completely illegal from the trump administration, and involving what these universities can and cannot do, so shout out to them. And lastly, we talked about it a little bit about the Nfl draft that happened
807
Jeezy: this past week.
808
Jeezy: and I want to say that we've seen something that I will say was probably the most
809
Jeezy: craziest, unprecedented thing I've ever seen in my life, and that was the sliding of Shador Sanders to
810
Manny: He got drafted 5th round. Yeah. 5.th
811
Jeezy: He got drafted in the 5th round, after being projected as a.
812
Manny: Was it? Top? 3. Top 5.
813
Jeezy: Yeah, like he was looking at being a top.
814
Jeezy: a round pick, and he slid
815
Jeezy: arguably taken way below, where many, many thought I thought Mel Kuiper was going to have a heart attack.
816
Manny: Right.
817
Jeezy: TV.
818
Manny: Mel was going through it.
819
Jeezy: But with this I just have a thought.
820
Jeezy: Whoa!
821
Manny: I got a thought.
822
Manny: -Oh.
823
Jeezy: And I just want people to hear me out.
824
Jeezy: Why do white owners feel so intimidated by intelligent and confident black man?
825
Jeezy: I feel like Shador was only slighted. You could say that Nfl teams hated his dad.
826
Jeezy: Oh, well.
827
Jeezy: I never heard nobody say how much they hated Archer Manning when he did the same thing for Eli and Payton.
828
Manny: I mean. I don't remember the the counteracting of Baker Mayfield or Johnny Menzel. Well, I guess Johnny Menzel did fall. He did fall, but like.
829
Jeezy: He didn't fall like.
830
Manny: I like this.
831
Jeezy: And we can all sit here and say that Shador is a thousand times better than Johnny Manziel. But even quarterbacks that we've seen that have been of the you can call them arrogant. You can call them cocky.
832
Jeezy: We've seen it in non non-black.
833
Jeezy: Quarterbacks.
834
Jeezy: But when it's us, why is it a problem? I feel like? That's number one reason why Cam Newton is not playing right now.
835
Jeezy: Because
836
Jeezy: a team, a owner, a locker room, can't handle that confidence, and I just don't understand. And I think that the League allowed us to all see in real time that what we thought
837
Jeezy: what's going on is really what's going on.
838
Manny: Bye.
839
Manny: Part out! Loud!
840
Jeezy: And I just want to make a I just want to make a point.
841
Jeezy: And I always say this, and this is no disrespect to this this gentleman.
842
Jeezy: but I feel like they always want black quarterbacks to be like Donovan Mcnabb.
843
Manny: Oh!
844
Jeezy: Don't say play, play good play nice.
845
Jeezy: eat your Campbell's soup with your mama, and be quiet, and don't say nothing else, but when you're vocal.
846
Jeezy: It's a problem.
847
Jeezy: And I wanted. I want us to really understand this kid Shador
848
Jeezy: outside of. If you take him, take him out of being Sanders, son.
849
Jeezy: He's a stand-up kid.
850
Jeezy: Never been disrespectful.
851
Jeezy: Every team that he's played for all his teammates have raved about how he is. He is a leader.
852
Jeezy: We've never seen him any in any type of situation we ain't seen him at. You won't even find a clip on social media. This this brother in the club.
853
Jeezy: I mean he just he. He loves the game of football, and he's confident and rightfully so. As a father I would want my son if I had one to be just as confident in his abilities, too.
854
Jeezy: But
855
Jeezy: where does that leave you when you want to raise a son who wants to be an athlete, and you have to tell him that though I tell you to be confident when you get in, these spaces
856
Jeezy: diminish itself.
857
Manny: Dim that light.
858
Jeezy: Diminish yourself, even though I've taught you to shine that light high.
859
Jeezy: I think we have a real problem.
860
Manny: I mean. Shador is probably the first.st I won't say the first, st
861
Manny: I might say 1st 1st Qb. In the nil era like you're you're not getting broke. College kids in the 1st round. No more.
862
Jeezy: Yeah.
863
Manny: Like you're you're getting kids who, getting nail deals and whatnot.
864
Jeezy: Yeah, yeah.
865
Manny: And you know Shador outside doesn't necessarily need to go to the Nfl.
866
Manny: Now he wants to, and it's his choice. But like he don't. He doesn't really need it so.
867
Manny: And I think it was the the owners trying to say, Hey, y'all might be getting this money down in college.
868
Jeezy: But you won't get it here.
869
Manny: But you won't get it here.
870
Manny: and I think it impacted a lot of people like also the Quinn ewers.
871
Manny: But that man, instead of entering the Nfl draft. That man should have entered the transfer portal.
872
Jeezy: Yeah, he should have.
873
Jeezy: It's this draft was very weird to watch man and
874
Jeezy: feel like normal. A normal draft. Now shout out to my team. New England patriots. I felt like they drafted very well. So I'm not complaining about what they did.
875
Jeezy: But this draft just felt a little weird man, and maybe you have a reason why.
876
Manny: Well.
877
Manny: so here's my theory, and I've been telling. I've been telling the boys this since since Thursday.
878
Jeezy: Hmm.
879
Manny: I think, the Nfl told them. Don't draft him. Don't draft him until Saturday.
880
Manny: We need these ratings.
881
Manny: and we, where we always have a good 1st round. Everyone know everyone's aware of the people in the 1st round, at least for the 1st 2 h. But you get past pick 10. You're you're now getting to the players that people had to like. Really either follow a specific team or just follow college football like that.
882
Manny: But everyone knew who Shador Sanders was.
883
Manny: so let them let them get out Thursday into Friday.
884
Jeezy: Yeah, think.
885
Manny: Round 2 round 3. You're losing. You're losing a lot of casual fans.
886
Manny: but you knew she do her. So you kept watching because I think, what the second and 3rd round by the Nielsen ratings second highest all time.
887
Jeezy: -
888
Manny: So that I can't cut off here. We need this energy to go into Saturday.
889
Jeezy: Bro. This this was just something was up. Something was up. But I definitely think that
890
Jeezy: the approach of of black athletes needs to be talked about more, and even not seeing somebody like Mike Tomlin.
891
Manny: Yeah.
892
Jeezy: Not pick Shador when they need a.
893
Manny: They need a quarterback.
894
Jeezy: Like they'd have nobody.
895
Manny: Cool.
896
Jeezy: Only to have to after Shador was picked, to have to settle
897
Jeezy: for a quarterback. I think there was a jig, and that Jig was definitely in play, but.
898
Manny: When I think, after after you got had the coaches and other players start saying, Hey, this is weird like you got Sean Payton being like, Hey, man.
899
Jeezy: Yeah, cause Shawn was like, yeah, y'all.
900
Manny: Y'all while him y'all while.
901
Jeezy: So I think
902
Jeezy: there's definitely something up. Shout out to Shador. Though he is not on my team. I will definitely be supporting his brother, because not only did he get drafted, but he got drafted, probably the largest quarterback room in the Nfl. With the.
903
Manny: Best opportunity for still an opportunity for him, because, with Sean Watson still being out, Joe Flacco, I mean, he is a good quarterback at 41, but I think he's beatable.
904
Jeezy: Yeah, you got Kenny Pickett which they trained for, and then they took Dylan Gabriel before they took Shador, which is crazy because they took Dylan Gabriel in the 3.rd
905
Manny: Right? Well.
906
Jeezy: Extra door then. But then again, there's a jig that's that's it, that's in place. So.
907
Manny: Broke neck. Brokeneck to Dylan, having to wake up like, yeah, I'm going brown. So I'm next one of the future. Oh.
908
Jeezy: Oh, you're not!
909
Jeezy: I don't think so.
910
Jeezy: So shout out to the Sanders family, because Shiloh ended up drafted so regardless of what? How you think about Dion? Shout.
911
Manny: Voice on the League.
912
Jeezy: Shout out to a a black dad, a black present, Dad
913
Jeezy: having a vision for his kids, feeding that vision, fueling that vision and having the joy and satisfaction to sit back to realize that both of his kids, as of today, are Nfl players.
914
Manny: Yep.
915
Jeezy: We don't see much of this. We don't see a lot of this. The only other black dad I could think of is Levar ball, a active present, Dad, that we have seen really advocate for his children, and I'm not saying that no other dad is kind of you got like John Moran's dad.
916
Manny: Yeah.
917
Jeezy: And Job Moran, Daddy, be wild. That's why the job I've never.
918
Manny: Someone gets out of control.
919
Jeezy: You know Dion has seen his his children, and has coached his children from the beginning to now, and to now hand them off to the Nfl. Job. Well done, brother, for raising these these 2 black gentlemen to hopefully go forth and prosper and and carry on the legacy and legendary name of the Sanders family, so.
920
Manny: And.
921
Jeezy: Shout out to y'all, man, so that that is my spotlight.
922
Jeezy: I don't have anything else.
923
Jeezy: You got anything, brother.
924
Manny: We all we all good here.
925
Jeezy: I'm good man. My heart and mind is clear to our listeners. We thank you for tuning in to this episode, and, as we always tell you, at the conclusion that if nobody else loves, you just know the boys here at the pod.
926

927
Jeezy: We thank you. We appreciate you tuning in, and we will see you at the next episode. Take care.
